If USA started a world war, then be invaded by the world, would you accept draft?

I remember hearing someone say the same thing about 30 Carbine at a gun shop range around 25 years ago. A slightly built elderly gentleman said "sonny, about 30 Chinamen buried in a hill in Korea would beg to differ"

I have no doubt Saudi Arabia is sending in death-row types, to include AQ affiliate types, to fight in Syria. But the U.S. and S.A. are pretty much not on speaking terms at the moment. Which is deeply unfortunate. The idea that we are somehow hand-in-glove in Syria when that is one of the major reasons for our breakup is.... not very tenable.


People defending Assad even in the slightest now are going to spend years pretending that they never did. You may want to look into tempering your position, especially if you are espousing it in RL.

Personal Experience Turtle. 9mm doesn't little damage, a normal person or one on drugs (Like in Afghan and back in the Phillipines) Low cailber will not bring them down. Secondly if you are fighting a Solider with body armor 9mm is pointless.

Actual wars aren't "take no prisoners," although I suppose that could change in the era booming populations and limited resources. The fact we exist makes us valuable, and "getting rid of us" is hard, dangerous, and expensive.

A foreign enemy would "probably" try to reorganize our infrastructure and population to work for them, as opposed to mostly for our oligarchs.

If they really were trying to kill all of us, I would swallow my pride and fight because no injustice done by our oligarchs could merit them destroying us all.

I take my example from Scandinavian and Roman history. For my northern ancestors, losing to a foreign people usually meant paying tribute to them instead of a local king. On occasions of extreme royal abuse it was perceived as an acceptable alternative. In the Roman Republic, the oligarchs abused their wealth and authority so much that the plebeians emptied out of the city and refused to fight until political reform gave them a greater voice in government. They were willing that an alien people have their city and its treasures rather than have them be monopolized by their wealthier neighbors.

1) I shot a guy on drugs with a 9mm and it worked just fine. in total war no one is going to be limited to FMJs

2) face shots work pretty well on those in body armor

3) and 9mm is a back up. I have an FAL with 762 Quad loads in my mags (IMI black tip AP, FMJ, soft point expandables and tracer), that's my main SHTF rifle along with a MIAI with some sophisticated sighting devices loaded with 168 grain Sierra Match king 168 bullets (Federal National Match rounds)

Totally. We're going to have tens of millions of men and women in uniform by the end of this. Balls to the walls global conquest for the sake of human unity. Then we can begin construction of our intrasolar and eventually interstellar Republic. Space Crusade. For Freedom.

I don't really see the point. Global unification should arise naturally from increasing economic cohesion. In all probability, America's flag will continue flying in the new order. I don't really need it to fly higher than the rest.

Nobody on the planet is waiting for a world unified under one flag. The human race is too diverse to bow down to one country dominating the rest of the planet (even if that happened to be the US).

I am Dutch and live in the Netherlands so it would not be treason. It would only be treason if I accepted your opinion because that would mean I would betraying my country and my King.

I'm sorry to say this but we're probably going to end up deposing your King. =( But you'll get a shiny new Governor, some Congressman, and at least two Senators! Depending on how we divide you up. We haven't fully worked out the kinks of the Planetary Congress.

I mean I think we can agree that there will be significantly less people after the final victory when the last remnants of resistance are hunted down in Inner Mongolia. But totally. We'll do a much better job of pilfering resources than most countries ever could.

Only if we are smart enough to emulate Rome, and restrict citizenship to corruptible elites, those who serve in the legions, and the successful from among the masses.
