Where Do You Get Your News? (And how old are you?)

I've been curious about this for a while. I'm in my early twenties and I can honestly say I never watch cable news in large part because I don't really watch TV. Everything is on Hulu, Netflix, or I just stream/torrent. So I get my news pretty exclusively from the internet which is to say usually Google News aggregation of articles related to a term I search or just the BBC news app in the morning.

I'd also say I'm not that atypical of people my age that I know. In fact I'd say its rare for me to run into someone my age who watches CNN, FOX, MSNBC except those who watch certain shows or commentators.

With all of the passion about which network is more biased or best it got me wondering if even unscientifically I could find out if there was an age gap on this on DP.

Google blank news search; gives me pretty much every notable story from all angles.

    CNN for breaking

    NPR for radio

    NBC nightly

Various sources on my phone via Internet stream.

    Age 39.

I am nearly 60 and my approach is the same as yours. Now, there are certainly some sources that I trust more than others and I get irritated to no end by the sheer number of unintelligent people who think a youtube video or article they lifted from a propaganda site constitutes "proof" of whatever silly notion they are trying to peddle, but yeah -- I get my news from the internet and don't watch t.v.

I get most of mine here, where I am sure to find out what is outraging people daily.

Totally online. 70. AP Breaking News (gov't bias), MSN.com (dem bias), Buzzflash (dem bias), Info Clearing House (progressive). Pravdu.Ru (Russian bias), FoxSports ( no bias). Google search for specific info.

I watch cable news in the morning, listen to talk radio when driving and pick the news apart online. I would also fit into the 35+ category.

National stuff is online - various sources from CNN, Fox, MSN, blogs with links.... Bing for headlines. Local stuff is newspaper and local television news. Anything I watch that has news nationally I tend to not pay much attention unless it's another WTC or something. I'm 46.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Usually NPR. I don't think they're unbiased or anything, I like their style of reporting and the way they provide more of the background information.

Completely online and like Mr. Fagan, I'm the big seven-oh. No particular source, I just go to Google News and follow the stories that interest me.

I do go to Al Jazeera for some articles and I listen to RW radio when I'm driving (which is rare). A friends sends me The Atlantic links pretty often.
