Im interested in the people of DPs view on Ron Paul. I know he has a mixed reaction from people. Most seem to either love him or hate him.

To all, I would suggest reading "The Revolution: A Manifesto" by Ron Paul. It's a good read and it really defines his personal beliefs with solid rationalization.

Please explain your selection!

Read Ron Pauls Manifesto. The only thing i agree with him on tho is his foreign policy and some of his policies when it comes to the drug war. The rest of his views i cant stand one bit.

I personally like Ron Paul. I believe him to be one of the few honest men in the history of DC.

I think he's a corrupt as it gets and a very pathetic, manipulative and basically evil person. Totally despise him.

However, I have a high opinion of Rand Paul. Odd, huh?

I don't care for Ron Paul the politician however he did give us Rand Paul so I have to so thank you for that.

He is hilarious.

He is the only Republican I would consider voting for. I'm a Green. I usually vote Green. I can't believe the fruit of his loins is from the same gene pool. Must have been some chlorine in the pool.

People that do not like Ron Paul haven't given the man a chance. Most people only know what they hear in the controlled media. The controlled media hates Ron Paul. To understand Ron Paul you must seek him out to learn the truth.

I bet most of you will learn a few things you did not know about Ron Paul from watching this short video:

I think that liberalism is fundamentally opposed to the principles necessary to maintain a civilization, although Ron Paul does seem to be an ethical person, and I would prefer him to most Democrats.

Why do you think that? I haven't seen evidence of it.

The "poor-Ron Paul, everyone is picking on him" really got sickening. He lost. He's gone. Let it go.

He was/is right on foreign policy!

Never seen this video, but the points are things I have been advocating for a long time. Every action has a reaction, and that is what we are trying to retroactively deal with now.

You seem to have a severe dislike for Ron Paul. Why do you not like Ron P......oh I get it now....

Oy Vey.

To those that think he is a "wing-nut" how do you reckon? Everything he does is based on the Constitution, looking for some feedback! Thanks

Ron Paul is a guy with a few good ideas, and a whole lot more bad ones.

Yeah but Ron Paul's interpration of the constitution differs from other politicans because he does not believe in implied powers or any modern application of the commerce clause.

I wouldn't call him a "wing-nut", but I am turned off by his de facto constitution-worship.

That's true. But the way I looked at it was that his good ideas just happened to be ones he could put into effect unilaterally, and the bad ones would have required the support of those that would never allow them to become reality. So I voted for him.

Did you by any chance mean libertarian-ism? I have met so few who call themselves any sort of CON having a curly hair bit of difference between liberalism and democrats.

I have trouble coming up with anything Ron has done that had an affect on our national discourse or course. he seems to have been his generation's Cassandra.

Rand just seems an opportunistic Hustler.

Fact is we'd be a helluva lot better off if we collectively followed the constitution more often than ignore it.

kinda like the 5 marijuana plants on the back porch of a california womans house that the federal government has authority over because she was influencing the national supply and demand even though through the state of california she was medically prescribed them? That interpretation of the commerce clause?

Better to err on the side of caution when interpreting anything "implied"
