You quoted the "Old" Testament. Not from the Gospel, on the laws of which were based the United States.
And how often have you seen killed Jew who worked on the Sabbath?

If you just let them go there is too much risk. It's been shown that a significant number of them go right back to war against the USA even after being subjected to the best deprogramming methods known to medical science when we tried that.

If you put them into regular prisons in the US, then they could brainwash and radicalize the multitude of violent black Muslims in our domestic prison system. Many of whom will eventually be walking the streets in the USA. Never forget that Al Qaeda's roots are in the Egyptian prison system. And ours isn't really that much different. Don't want them to take root here. Fight them over there instead.

Quite the conundrum, innit? They were brought to Gitmo illegally, wrongfully detained, never tried and now it looks like the only safe bet is to kill them.
Honestly, if you wanted to map out a course of action guaranteed to create martyrs and rallying points and radicalise all the extended families of your victims while alienating your allies, I say you nailed it. Confirmed some of the nasty rumours, too.
 
Running Man. Better yet, if they can swim from Gitmo to Florida naked and unaided we'll give them transport to wherever in the world they want to go.

Most of these guys are innocent, and we knew that they were back in 2004. It's time to just cut our losses and wait for them to sue us.

Since the Obama administration decided to take the route of using our court system in dealing with these yahoos, I think it would be advantages to shut the place down returning the prisoners to their own countries instead of affording them the opportunity to make a mockery of our judicial system and then end up in a prison here in the U.S. where the taxpayers end up providing for their three squares a day etc. But on release into their homeland, since this administration is big on drones, use them to blow them to heaven where they can meet their 70 virgins.

Proof that the US is a nation of hypocrites are those prisoners.

Obama's drones don't care if a few innocent people are killed. And Obama does not give the people killed by his drones a trial. He just kills them. We should move our troops out of Club Getmo and let a few drones finish the job, just like he's doing now in Pakistan and other parts of the world.

I don't know if most of them innocent. That's kind of a stretch. Maybe we have no evidence.

Innocent may be a bit too simplistic. Let's just say a lot are completely innocent and only a very-very few are "the worst of the worst", which is what Cheney claimed of all of those prisoners. Nonetheless, Obama lacks the 'nads to free any of them.

Although pulled off the battlefield in Afghanistan, a lot of these guys were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, like this poor chum, who eventually died

On the off chance that no one ever informed you thus, your gushing fount of emotion would inspire no reciprocity in these animals. It's your call. You can continue to chafe beneath the weight of an assumed identity or you can wake the **** up.

Innocent people have been killed in every war the US has engaged. And is still going on today with Obama's drones killing innocent people and killing without a trial. In fact Obama kills them so he does not have to put them in Club Getmo.

Since when does wanting to give people a fair trial being a bleeding heart? You can't just execute innocent people. What's the hurry anyway? They've already been there for years and years. What they've been doing all this time when there could have been trials is anyone's guess. Obviously they have no evidence.
