Have you purchased your plan yet?

So the time has come and gone, and those who expect to have Obamcare by the first of the year should already be signed up. Even Obama signed up (in a purely symbolic way) for a bronze plan. There are contradictory reports out there about participation rates. I have asked many times on this forum, particularly of the supporters of this law, if they have signed up yet. And to this date NOT ONE person has answered to the affirmative. So the question is, now that the deadline has passed, how many DPers have signed up AND PAID FOR an Obamacare plan?

I haven't. I recently changed jobs, and the new one doesn't offer it as a benefit, so for now, I'll probably just pay the fine. The plans I have seen so far are ridiculously expensive.

Given the fact that the exchanges only serve a small minority of people in the US (most are covered via employers or via Medicare already), and a not-insignificant chunk of DPers are in Europe,Canada, or retired, it's not a surprise you're not hearing about people not signing up...
Many Trump supporters have lots of problems, and those deplorables are bringing those problems to us. They’re racists. They’re misogynists. They’re islamophobic. They're xenophobes and homophobes. And some, I assume, are good people.

I have private insurance, however, the cost has gone up for co-pays.

As has ours. Copays and deductibles went up and costs increase by 17%.

Obviously, most that did not get a grandfather exemption but have renewed (or purchased a replacement for) their medical care insurance plan for 2014 have bought a PPACA approved plan. Not many insurance companies will offer a plan that still requires paying the "uninsured" PPACA tax/penalty.

Signed up for the employer sponsored plan, deductible and OOP went up. Premiums went up a relatively small 11%.

Anybody know if there has been a net gain/loss for those who are going to be covered versus those who lost their coverage?

I don't need an individual plan. Already have insurance through my employer and it hasn't changed.

The prices I am seeing here in Texas range anywhere from 325 dollars per month to the 800 dollar range. I don't take any prescription medicines, and I rarely go to doctors. I am healthier than the average woman my age. It irks me to see how much I am going to pay now. I may just keep job-shopping until I find one with medical bennies.
