I would kill to have someone like that leading our nation right now... So long as he was on my side, of course.

Not entirely. I just want to know how people think. Especially when nominating candidates. I figured it'd be a good discussion.

I did leave the option for Other - for those who don't have an opinion either way. But I know that a lot of voters do have a strong opinion on this.

I know what you mean. But with you being conservative and him being liberal - you would get the exact opposite.

Yep. Even a small step in the right direction is better than none at all - but allowing even a small step in the wrong direction can be a critical mistake.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! It's like some people don't really even believe what they believe. And will do what sounds nice in theory but in reality they will never get what they want.

He lost an election to the Progressive Conservatives but won an election eight months later, he would have been prime minster for almost 15 years. He also had majority government for most of those 15 years, if I remember correctly. Well if you want someone like him you need to remove those term limits.

American Conservatives usually say our Charter does not really work and it does not have true freedom as there is no right to bear arms.

If my POV has a clear majority or a sizable lead, a fighter. Get stuff done.

If there is more balance, a compromiser, get as much done as you can.

That doesn't sound consistent with your avatar picture.

But again, I don't think people will care "how much" is being done if all that is being done is eliminating freedom.
