He has ever right to say stupid and offensive things.A @ E has every right to fire him for saying stupid and offensive things.

I don't care whether they fired him or not, but it sure does give stupid people who share his views an opportunity to whine like little children that he is some sort of victim when he was the one attempting to spread the sort of hate that victimizes others.

Being embarrassed by GW certainly hurt the war effort.

The hypocrisy is evident from all sides of the fence.

If he weren't a famous personality representing a particular demographic, nobody would care. Part of the reason he's getting so much backing is the overreaction to politically unpopular views, especially in the Media.

I disagree. Any objection to the full support of GLBT lifestyle choices would meet the same wrath of GLADD and receive negative press from the MSM. Trying to pretend that the GLBT lifestyle is compliant with all biblical teachings is dishonest at best. One may not agree with all biblical morality definitions, but to deny their existence or to assert that they may be overlooked/amended while remaining true to that faith is incorrect.

I have one question for you. If A&E can take action for Phil's explicitly stated opposition to homosexuality then are employers allowed to take action for one of their own speaking out in favor of it?

You can say I don't personally like homosexuality or believe it's inline with the bible without getting such a reaction. It's when you make comparisons with animals, reference to body parts and accusatory opinions that it opens up.
