Mitt Romney never said that he didn't care about 49% of the country. He said that 47% of this country doesn't pay taxes. I could've told you before the primary that Mitt Romney was the worst choice in the primary. Did people listen? Nooooo. Everyone was all "he has the best chance to win the general election!"

Mitt Romney while not a great choice - was still better than Barack Obama.

That's not all he said about the 47%, nor was that 47% accurate given the context and impression he was trying to portray.

Former Navy UDT (says he was a SEAL but not sure if all former UDT were retroactively considered SEALs) 1969 - 1975, Actor, Wrestler, Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota from 1991 - 1995, Governor of Minnesota 1999 - 2003. TV show host for Conspiracy Theories with Jesse Ventura.

He has considered running for President before. I'm wondering what your thoughts are about a potential Presidential run for him in 2016?

Is this a joke? You should remake this poll in the Conspiracy Theory sub-forum and see if you can garner a solid showing for Jesse.

nah, he's a truther.

No way! I can't even believe this is a serious question. IMO he's kind of an idiot conspiracy theorist. All set there, thanks.

Not all conspiracy theorists are idiots. Some just want to keep people safe from the tyranny and corruption that the powerful elite keeps secret.

Kinda like, how anyone before the holocaust would've been called a loon if they dared to say that Hitler would ever do something like what he did.

I used to like Jesse Ventura, but he has veered off in a far more radical direction. If you read about his positions as governor of Minnesota they are reasonable, but now he is focused on conspiracy theories. I'm not sure what happened to him with that Chris Kyle. Supposedly famous SEAL sniper Chris Kyle was at a wake at a bar for a fellow SEAL (which Jesse was at one time) and supposedly Jesse was trashing the war and then said something to the effect of the SEALS deserved to lose a few guys. Supposedly Kyle punched Ventura. Given Ventura's extreme conspiracy theorism, it would not surprise me if he said that. I heard some of the same comments from like minded people saying the insurgents were "freedom fighters" and our soldiers "got what they had coming." I am not sure if he said it or not though, it would be slander if he hadn't.

Either way it is between Jesse and Chris, and Chris Kyle was tragically murdered by a mentally ill man he was trying to help earlier this year. Anyway whether that is true or not, I am not sure why Kyle would make it up. If he were going to try to slander a political figure why wouldn't he claim somebody more prominent than Ventura did it? But I lost a lot of my respect for Jesse Ventura hearing about that. Even so, Jesse is trying to sue his widow. Even if Kyle DID lie about him why couldn't he leave the man's widow alone?

I'm not sure about the he said/she said stuff. Nor do I know all the full details. So I do not have a comment for what you said yet at this time.

No thanks. I'll do my best to prevent 9/11 truthers from holding any office of significance.

Yeah. There aren't many people that I would actually prefer Hillary or Biden to, but Nutter McWacko is one of them.

Please, I watched his show. It was beyond stupid.

My only concern is his athiesm. I don't like to see this nation being turned away from God. And I'm unsure about why he said that he was a SEAL if he was only UDT - ALTHOUGH this last part isn't criticism - just curiosity - it could also be possible that all former Navy UDT were retroactively considered SEALs, due to it being the same training. BUD/S Training DOES in fact stand for Basic Underwater Demolition / SEALs.

I do like the fact that he does not care about catering to political parties, but rather defending freedom and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo and establishment and to also take action to expose corruption in the government. We don't really see President Obama taking any action to stand up to the tyranny in his own administration.

My favorite choice for 2016 is Ted Cruz. Mike Huckabee is good too. But if they nominate Christie, then I'll likely vote for Jesse Ventura - or Gary Johnson.
Would you vote for him if he were Muslim?

"Ventura inherited a $4 billion surplus, and leaves office with the state facing a $4.5 billion deficit"

MPR: The political legacy of Jesse Ventura

Enough said.
No way would I vote for him.

Fair enough on a legitimate point.

Gary Johnson had the opposite of that happen (I don't have the exact numbers right now) when he was Governor of New Mexico from 1995 - 2003. He's another third party candidate that I would consider voting for, if Christie is nominated for President by the GOP.

Hell no. He was once a respectable man rejected both parties, now he is just a media attention whore that goes out of his way to get the cameras attention no matter what that conspiracy is.

Doesnt change the fact that is a pritty irresponsible thing to say.

It sounds more like something Berlusconi would have said.
I didnt vote for the guy, but you DO understand the content and context, right? He was talking to campaign contributors about those he could target and appeal to. He stated, very correctly, that approx 47% of the country could not in any way shape or form be won over and there was no sense dedicating campaign dollars and resources to go after them.

I wish it wasn't anonymous. I'd like to see who would vote for Jesse "The Body" Ventura as the President of The United States of America.

And why is that? What if there's a chance they're right?

Also - I do not know the answers - so I won't pretend that I do know - I'm just curious as to your thoughts.

There is no chance he is right, truthers are the bottom of the barrell when it comes to anyone I'd ever give an ounce of authority to. Besides, Jesse doesn't even believe what he says, it is just performance art for money

The only reason he's run is so he could hang out at Area 51 with the aliens.

Would you vote for him if he were Muslim?

Good question.

No. Then again I also know that Islamists have different sets of morals and values that an athiest like Jesse Ventura would have.

I feel that the Muslims are trying to enforce Sharia Law.

I have also heard about how the Muslims wanting to mix the religions into being Chrislam. That that would be their way of creating a one world order - by also having a one world religion - as a means to end all wars and create world peace. But it will be a fake peace, and Christians will win.

Jesse Ventura wants to expose stuff like this. So asking me if I would vote for him if he were a muslim - would be like asking me if I would still eat a pizza if you subtracted all the cheese, sauce, and dough from it, and added macaroni and cheese - if I would still eat the pizza then - then no. Because it wouldn't be the same thing that it is.

I would prefer a Christian above all other religious beliefs. But I would choose an athiest over Jesse Ventura. I still see athiests as easier to win over to Christianity. Muslims seem too set in their own beliefs and have more of a vengeance towards Christians. Athiests are kinda neutral.

And while it is better to be wrong than to be lukewarm - I would rather be wrong than lukewarm in my decision.

The only convincing thing I heard in this thread so far (still need to catch up though) was about going into office with a huge budget surplus, and leaving office with a budget deficit. While it would be worth noting that Bush Jr. was in his first term as President for the last 2 year's of Governor Ventura's term as Governor. Then again, why did Gary Johnson have that in reverse - leaving his office after a second term the same year Ventura left his first and only term.

Yeah, what if science is actually real and falling objects actually do seek the path of least resistance as all real science has determined .. which of course makes the story of 9/11 a fairy tale.

Cognitive dissonance is a POWERFUL mind****.

I'll just never understand why there's such a sizeable amount of people in this world desperately wanting to be led by crazy people.

Something about the way swarms function and large groups interact for protection against predators. These behavioral strategies took millions of years to evolve. Can't dump them easily just because we have TV and now twitter.

Really lousy pro wrestler. Likewise as a politician and governor.

Lol! That pretty much sums it up for me too.

I would hope he wins, but I would not waste the gas money to drive 7 miles to town to vote for him, and here is my reason why
