Before 1965 the vast majority of Americans be they Democrats or Republicans were nationalist. Patriotic Americans, America first.

Those who weren't nationalist in America were either Communist Party USA, Marxist, anarchist, the New Left or internationalist socialist.

Do you know who Francis Bellamy was ? He was a socialist. Was he an internationalist socialist or a nationalist socialist ?

He wrote the Pledge of Allegiance.

And before 1942 every morning all across America in every classroom this took place.

Nelson Mandela was not an ordinary South African be he black or white. He was smart, well educated and even practiced law. Not an ordinary South African during the 1950's and 60's.
Mandela was actually of Royal blood of the Thembu people (Transkei) which left South Africa officially in 1976 and was actually independent for almost 20 years before that. Transkei wasn't part of South Africa until 1994. He wasn't even "South African" for most of the struggle. Transkei was recognized by South Africa as an independent nation. Rest of the world said it wasn't.
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office. H.L Mencken

Wait are you moving the goal posts again?
Did you still not answer my question? I believe you still haven't.
There you go again TheDemSocialist, saying things that nobody ever said.

I was just making a point, that most Americans no little about apartheidism. Most countries in the world have used it at one time or another, even in America. When the American Indian was put on reservations it was apartheid.

There's still are governments in the world who still use apartheidism. Just like slavery is still practiced in most of Africa and parts of the Middle east, not for getting the Peoples Republic of China.

Transkei was a dictatorship ruled by a corrupt one party government, and was essentially a vassal of South Africa the entire time.

When I was in South Africa in 1977, some of the South African surfers pointed out to me that most of the blacks living in South Africa weren't South Africans, mostly immigrants and illegal aliens.

What brought it up, I asked about all of the young black African men I would see walking down the streets with marijuana joints as big as a Havana cigars. They said they weren't South Africans, foreign trouble makers.
