The use of either term tends to cheapen and dumb down the discussion. He's a criminal who deliberately undermined the appropriate power structures in place at the time. The amount of heroic praise dumped on the guy is a bit nauseating.

But not as nauseating as the depth of the corruptness of these so-called "appropriate power structures". Got it.
If you claim sexual harassment to be wrong, yet you defend anyone on your side for any reason,
then you are a hypocrite and everything you say on the matter is just babble.

To clarify, exactly corruption are you referring to?

He shared classified information with the public. If you don't know why that's bad, I can't help you.

The power structures top his 'criminal' behavior 100 fold, terrible excuses for humans and don't deserve the privilege to call themselves American, they are scum on a good day. NSA and DHS are hands down the most despicable 3 letter organizations in this country, and any damage to their credibility is a good thing. Their mere existence is unconstitutional, and a slap in the face to the forefathers who created this country. They violated the constitution, essentially using it for a floor mop. He owes no allegiance to the illustrious king or his legion of borderline schutzstaffel like organizations. He owes his allegiance to the constitution and the people of the U.S. Anyone who says otherwise is just as bad as the loyalist subjects of the crown back in 1775, disgusting traitors to their countrymen and women.

Us lowly serfs, god forbid someone takes their oath to the people seriously and lets them know that their government is no better than the Kremlin.

The bolded above highlights that you haven't got a clue about those agencies.
