Re: Where will the next major war be?

I voted "other". After considerable pondering, about 30 seconds, I decisively concluded that my musings will have absolutely no bearing on the situation; the next war is the war playing out somewhere, today. I will not see the end of war in my lifetime so in "The days of our lives", "as the world turns", "Grey's Anatomy" gets acid indigestion while "This old world keeps on turning".

It has been personally amusing to compose a rather wordy and minimally humorous way of saying I don't care "a Tinker's damn" about another never ending daily confrontation. Let allah sort it out.

    Have a HAPPY day all

Never say never, and conflicts will come from where you least expect. The US in a pulling back mode will have a profound effect everywhere. Something will try to fill the vacuum.

Yeah - that was the theory after WWI, too. I hope you're right, but.....

    I have to agree.

I see little chance of world-wide peace breaking out anytime soon.

And a lot of chances of little wars here and there.

Let's hope that the USA can stay out of those wars.

That is what is going on today.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

That's kind of going on right now, all over this planet, at a low level.

I hear that about WWI and the theory. There are only two nations on the planet that don't seem to "fear" what might happen to them in major conflict (North Korea and Iran). Its just my opinion but the others strike me as thinking they have too much to lose by engaging in open warfare - I hope at least they think that.

Next major war? That depends on the global political environment the next time we have a republican president.

Until then, I'd have to guess Chicago.

Best case scenario: NK and Iran go to war and wipe each other out. The US has the wit to stay out of the conflict this time around at least. SK takes over NK and repopulates it. Israel expands into the now empty Iran. Peace reigns, at least in two formerly hot spots in the world.
