Myself as well. I value interculturalism, not artificially delineated multiculturalism.

As in ecology, the space shared by two systems (in this case, cultures) enjoys more diversity than either system alone.

The phenomenon of increased variety of plants as well as animals at the community junction is called the edge effect and is essentially due to a locally broader range of suitable environmental conditions or ecological niches.

Interculturalism could be called the sociotone edge effect, rich in sociological niches.

Not really that deep rooted, it's fairly transparent. You're jealous of people who take a sense of pride in their bloodlines because that's something you can't experience. Like every human being, you want to belong, and not being able to join this "club" agitates you.

But it's cool man. Maybe you should search for your biological parents?

Is a white of skin color, south african...that immigrates to the United States....now considered an African American?

Put that in your pipe and smoke it race baiters on both sides.
John Kerry's wife is an African-American. She was born in Africa and was naturalized as an American citizen.

Before all of this PC bull #### hyphenated-Americanism of the mid 1970's was started by the radical left, an hyphenated-American was a foreign born person who was naturalized as an American citizen.

But that progressive, Thodore Roosevelt looked at it a diffrent way.

Teddy Roosevelt: "No Room in This Country for Hyphenated Americans"

    >" “There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all.”
“This is just as true of the man who puts “native” before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance.”
“But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.”
“The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English- Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian- Americans, or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality than with the other citizens of the American Republic.”
“The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country. The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American.” "<

The whole ethnic ID label in America is a courtesy and nothing more.

That's like saying blue eyes are a myth.

Look around you. Some people are black, some people are white, some people are asians, some are a mix. Even a child can tell the difference.
Race really doesn't exist. Obviously there is an easily noticeable difference between say, a Sudanese person and a Norwegian person, but those are some polar opposites. Someone who lives on one side of the Ural mountains is considered Asian, while someone on the other side is considered white. It makes no sense. If you consider Hispanic a race, someone living on one side of the Pyrenees mountain is Hispanic while someone on the other side is white. In both cases, the people involved would appear to be of the same race. If you were to ask a kid, the kid wouldn't think they were different races.

From an archaeological standpoint, ALL humans originated in the region known today as Kenya, Africa. Per that reasoning we are ALL of African ancestry. Chew on that one for a bit.

    Not so fast!

You could make a DNA test and see from which ingredients you are made of. Then you can contact people whom call themselves pure of a certain ingredient and see what they have for you in building meaning for your life.

You may be a certain breed alone after all. Did you made any tests?

Yes, let's move on to the next issue. KKK'ers who drag black men to their deaths on the back of their pickup trucks, which happened right here in Texas after the year 2000. Yes, Birmingham is over, but it's ugly spirit remains. If you are attempting to claim that racism is dead, then you have been living in a cave.
