to stop pointing fingers a Muslims when other religious groups is doing the same damn thing. Johnny_Utah, I believe that what BillyBob is plainly giving a
example that muslims are not the only religion that believes in torturing and
violance. Regardless to the fact if it happened 10,000 years B.C it happened,
regardless to if it was okay or not, and it still relates to the churchs today
due to the fact its still taking place.

What we need to do is to step out of being in denial, and to talk about the
solution towards solving the problem. I read some of these posts, and can't
help but wonder do some of you know what you are blabbering about? Then
there is some posts that really makes senses.

You do realize that English spoken the "correct" way is British, don't you? They invented the language. American English simply takes original English words, and then spells or pronounces them differently.

And WHY are you so obsessed with Stanford? Did you take a good class there? Buy a winning lottery ticket? Something must have given you quite the experience for your money... and as to another quote of yours, it may not be the best idea to form all your opinions based on Stanford (high-level, West-coast ivy leagueish college), and a state university (NYU). Why don't you try taking some Oxford courses sometime and see what you think?

I raced some fast mother****in' Compton boys in my day...Hawthorne, Inglewood, Los Alimitos...

I was the one white boy outa 9 heats (80 runners) in an Invational once in Long Beach for the 1/4 mile. I ran a 50.8. That was age group for 9th graders. I got third out of all comers and won my heat. THAT is when I was introduced to the true side of the young black man. That was in the late 80's/early 90's. But **** if some of those guys didn't smoke my *** a few years later. LOL!

I kept racing and got down to a 49.4 in my junior year and did well in other events...

Oh man, that was a LONG time ago...

I started surfing and playing basketball waaaay too much.

"Other" religious groups are NOT doing the same thing. Other religious groups have done the same thing, but that's not really an issue is it? I don't give a damn what Catholics used to do, but the Muslim love-affair with terrorism is painfully relevant to any discussion of the Middle East or their religion. Don't use what happened centuries ago as an excuse for what Muslims are doing now.

Nothing like playing ball and well surfing(eh...depends who you are I guess) under that Cali sun. You take that stuff for granted sometimes in Cali then you come to the east coast and people are friggin cold as hell. No love, no beach blondes skating in the parks, ghetto *** people who talk more then they should. It's sad. truly is. I needa go back to Cali. Throughout this thread you can tell who the prejudiced are towards Christianity. They bash Christianity for what is stated in the Old Testament and then they Bash Christians for choosing not to follow it. Seems to me that Christians are going to get garbage thrown on them no matter what they do.

Isn't the role of America, with regards to religion, been to humanize the religions within our shores? Should Christians be criticized for choosing not to stone homosexuals and electing instead to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ? Should Christians be criticized for not finding a patch of dirt in America and declaring it holy by chaining God to it-making him nothing more than a brutal landlord? Should Christians be criticized for not carrying the 16th century blood shed between the sects (Catholics and Protestants) into the 21st century?

Using history as a map, it seems to me that we should be thankful that Christianity has had the ability to get back on the wagon when it has fallen off. Instead of being a part of the audience in front of Islam's 14 century strife, we could all be immersed in Christianity's dark side along with them. But we are not.

Sorry Christians. It doesn't matter how hard you strive to rejuvinate the religion and maintain it as a vision from Jesus Christ you will always be crapped on for a few versus in the Old Testament.

Don't be silly. I applaud Christians who have the courage to openly question their religion and discard practices which are outdated for today's morally advanced culture. What I take issue with are Christians that continue to think their Bible is perfect...they just don't have to follow some parts of it cause they have somehow twisted Jesus' words around to say the opposite of what he meant.

I guess all these good ole U.S. Christians who have slaughtered hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, for no reason, still have no problem proclaiming their faith to everyone.

The USA has not made this a religious war. We are a land of religious diversity. I don't see how it can be comparable, perhaps you can answer the questions this time, instead of asking more questions, and explain yourself? Who knows? Only you do buddy. :cool:
