His salutes to the Marines drove me nuts, and he was a shame to the presidency. But he was a very competent president and a great orator. I would like to have a beer with, in order, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Lincoln, Jefferson. I really want to ask Jefferson about the Lewis and Clark expidition.

I just finished watching Ken Burn's edition on DVD of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Talk about coincidence. I would love to have a beer with Billy boy Clinton. I would even want to have one with Billy Carter even more. The rest you mention I don't think would be too good a drinking buddy. I think having a shot of whiskey with Truman would be great. Teddy Roosevelt too, heck throw in FDR also, I bet whiskey or brandy is the way he went. Whiskey, Andrew Jackson. James Madison I do not think gets enough credit as president, had we lost the war of 1812 we would have reverted back to England. Madison would have been a great one to talk to.

Actually at my age I could come up with better looking chicks than Clinton, JFK outclassed me on my best day.

JFK outclassed us all. Marilyn Monroe, can you imagine? I was still in high school back on that November day of 1963, such promise and innocents was lost that I do not think we, as a nation have really fully recovered.

I would add LBJ, who could entertain anyone with his way of putting things, if you didn't mind his colorful language! His wife supposedly said that she had the hardest time convincing him to use the word "manure" instead of his usual bull****!

LBJ, I never took much of a fancy with him.

Yes and i did with my very conservative grandfather. Not on the point that im "pro-obama" but on the point that in the long run it will help majority of people.
