Biologically, it is harder to survive in crowded areas with infertile or inaccessible soil than it is in spacious areas with fertile soil.

What do you want to bet there are more in urban areas than there are in rural areas?

I'm not denying there is more in urban areas but rural areas definitely have their fair share. Farming is a really expensive proposition and normal service jobs are hard to get in rural areas.

That definitely makes more sense. I sat about for 10 mins trying to figure out which of my friends had photocopiers.

Every printer that I have owned in the past 10 years has been a Printer/Copier/Fax machine combo. Same with my Mom and my brother.... I am sure most of the home printers these days are the same way.

They can always quit and earn $0 per day. $2 a day just sounds like a better option. Slavery is always involuntary.

if you havent enough option ,it is more like an obligation

rightists always accuse lefties of ignoring the fact that not everybody is as smart and talented as teh others and because of this they dont deserve the same amount of money but according to this logic those less talented people will have to stay " less talented " during their lifetimes because of their limited capacity and will never be able to make enough money to live an enjoyable life ?

You do know that there's a difference between "lazy" and "retarded", right?

Everyone deserves an Obama phone at least. Maybe two. Oh hell, let's make it three. Obama should give everyone a car too. Wind powered.

okay lets ignore the lazy ones because they do it intentionally

retarded ones dont deserve to be treated like human ?

I don't mind giving limited resources to a retard. Still, his family should shoulder most of the burden.

if not everybody is equal and smarter ,no toliet cleaner has the right to earn enough money to be able to live ? if he will stay as a cleaner why doesnt he deserve to have enough money ? somebody has to do it ? yes ,some people have to do it because not everybody is equal.if so give them enough money to survive,
so simple,

They do have enough to survive. In America, they are crying because they want two cars.... not just one. They want a BIGGER house with a BIGGER lawn, and paid vacations. And cell phones, television, etc.

Even homeless bums in America are fat.

It's very different if you're talking about a toilet cleaner in India or something.

also america is fat in terms of geographical size ?

pleasee peterr dont repeat " even our homeless ones are fat ,we are a rich society

what does it differ ,according to many rightists they dont deserve to be paid enough because they are stupid

dustman in turkey earns more because of their syndicate rights but l believe they deserve it more than anyone else

dont they ?

I just think people around here have the wrong idea about "poor."

I lived in Chile and I have family in Brazil. There are people in those countries that are poor.... and I mean ACTUALLY poor, like no running water, barely enough to eat, etc.

Then I move here and people's idea of poor is a single bedroom home with a car and McDonalds every day, 7 children and they're all fat. In many parts of the world, only the rich can have so many children. We don't know poverty in America, we're naive to it.

I've driven through South Central Los Angeles and actually laughed out loud. This is supposed to be the "ghetto" but people are in clean houses and I saw many fancy cars parked outside. America has no problems with real poverty.

Go to Egypt sometime. There is even worse than South America. People actually starve because they are poor. To an Egyptian, a poor American would seem rich.

İt is not poverty ,it is more like a miserable life.

in turkey people poor or rich may have more children too but it is more about worldview.l wouldnt want to have 7 children .

and eating at mcdonalds can never prove that they are rich :2razz: it means they are really poor

in a country like america there are still some city parts called ghetto and it doesnt seem okay to me

Well money can't make you happy anyway. I think we should take care of the poor and the sick, but I also think we do a pretty good job of that today, at least where I live. Everybody has enough to eat and a roof over their head if they want it. It hasn't always been that way, and it still isn't that way for much of the world.

That said, I think we should do more to help the poor in Africa and India and other places where real poverty still exists. Every human being should have food and shelter at least, and a chance to educate themselves.

There is a quote in the movie "Book of Eli" that is very appropriate here.
"People had more than they needed. We had no idea what was precious and what wasn't. We threw away things people kill each other for now."

Being paid a minimum wage to be a toilet cleaner is just fine in my book. You are an unskilled worker being paid an unskilled wage. With the money you have, you cannot live a lavish lifestyle, but you can feed yourself and provide shelter for yourself. If you are trying to feed a family of 4, you cannot. If you want to drive a fancy car, you also cannot. It is called MINIMUM for a reason. You want more than the minimum? You need to bring something to the table besides a minimum skill. Learn how to repair that toilet and you will be paid accordingly.

l agree and wish to see a world where no human being dies of hunger because it is a shame for all humans but again hunger in such parts of the world is another argument

I've seen far too many people (that lack any sort of basic economic education) discuss some fictitious term like "liveable wage". I think it's time we let liberals define it.

What is it, people?
It's something that persistent wanters with no ambition cry for because they only know how to take what is given to them.
