Do I agree that death is independent of wealth?

Yes.

if so dont see a doctor when you are ill .)

I guess I've missed something here.

In what way are supposed to be relating basic mortality to wealth?

topic was neither death nor fate , mortality but some friends wanted to misunderstand and made these comments

if money cant save your life and or help cure your illness you dont need to see doctor in my opinion

That is not preventing death that is delaying death. Everyone alive today will be dead in 2150, rich or not.

noone claimed money can prevent it ,it wasnt my claim .

such arguments are so childish ,no need to pretend to misunderstand the point

Considering the growing number of deaths due to medical mistake, that might not be the worst route to take.

had to vote other because content matters

all things being equal poor people are much more likely to die because of health issues

now with that said money doesnt make you live for ever but getting top healthcare when ever you want is huge

along with access to other things healthier foods, cooks, personal trainers etc but of course one still has to CHOOSE to do that, there are wealthy people that eat like **** and never exercise

but again even when they do that, medical bills/cost isnt a worry

I think money buys better healthcare. More opportunities are available for healthcare. The bucks can fly you to a foreign country to the specialist with the renowned reputation. Money talks, bull**** walks.

I agree in general 100%

If you're suggesting that the wealthy can afford better care than the poor then yes, that's certainly the case. Of course the wealthy can also afford better housing, better transportation, better food, etc., etc.

However, none of that means that the wealthy are less likely to get sick and die. They are simply less likely to get sick and die from certain things. Wealth has no impact on cancer, heart problems, communicable diseases and myriad other things.

so people who think money cant prevent death should stop seeing doctors

They definitely shouldn't see the ones who still take medicaid. It is like public defenders, technically they are lawyers, but....

:doh

This argument makes absolutely no sense. There's a difference in prolonging death and preventing death. One can be done, one can't. Maybe you can learn the difference.

All issues of life or death are health issues.

Do you mean long-term diseases?

Do you mean long-term diseases?

me? its not up to me the conversation set the context.

but to answer you yes some long term diseases could be helped by having money

Everybody dies, what's the point?

That depends upon the illness. Some illnesses can't be cured no matter how much money you have.

Huh. And yet countries with government health care schemes have the longest life expectancy. Go figure...
