1. He should have been fired.
2. He can shove the apology up his ass.
3. Neither 1 nor 2
4. I Don't care.

i picked 4 only because none really fit by themselves

1.)he definitively should not be fired LMAO, thats just stupid and there no logical justification for that at all unless theres something in his contract the public doesnt no about.

being its his show, a news commentary, opinion entertainment show all things being equal theres no grounds to fire him. THings like that are said weekly on many tv shows and radio shows that have the same format.

2.) he can definitely stick his apology up his as but only because we know its probably fake and he was forced to do it. Not to mention as explained in #1 he had no reason to apologize.

According to the article, 62% of all women of reproductive age use some form of contraception. I didn't realize that non-sexual related use of contraceptives was so epidemic in the US. Hopefully, there are serious research teams and research dollars looking into finding a permanent cure for this "malady".

Rather than looking up fact sheets related to the use of contraceptives I think you'd have been better served looking up the definition of the word "promiscuous".

I agree with you, MSNBC had every right to fire Bashir (the 1st Amendment doesn't protect him) but to fire him would be seen as stifling free speech. I think it's very possible he was told apologize or else...

And the dem opposition campaign began the night Bush was elected. What's your point and how does that denote racism?

that would only be true if the democrats went so far as opposing legislation meant to help the troops fighting in iraq, for example filibustering a bill to give troops access to body armour or protection from I.E.D's.

Citation please.
It's generally forgotten that on Inauguration Day in 2001, Bush was greeted by thousands of protesters who threw eggs and bottles, made obscene gestures, and carried signs jeering, "Hail to the thief"—a reference to the legal fight needed to settle the outcome of the election. To the protesters, he was a corrupt enemy of democracy.

Filibuster only exists in the senate and the reps owned the senate then to a degree that the dems could not filibuster. Nice try though.

My opinion as well as many people. Please note those cloture motions began in the beginning, so it has nothing to do with him being a capable President, which he is by the way. It has be documented that several Republicans met to take Obama down.

Shocking I say!!! Shocking!!!

Imagine, Republicans plotting to take Obama down. Oh, the inhumanity. I'm sure Democrats never plot to take down a Republican President, right?

Even with your shocking expose, I'm not seeing any proof that it was related to his race.

No need - I know what it means. You, on the other hand, were trying to imply that Ms. Fluke had a medical reason for her need for government funded contraceptives. You had no proof, obviously, or you would have provided it. I, on the other hand, did some research and discovered that if, indeed, Ms. Fluke was using contraceptives for medical reasons, she'd be in the very small minority - kind of a fluke, wouldn't you say?

Do you have anything other than a rhetorical question?

If it was said on a real news station then there may be a real argument for his dismissal, but it wasn't...it's msnbc. No one in their right mind expects anything more then angry, bickering, irrational liberals on that station.

That being said I thought his apology was sincere and I think people should leave it at that and move on.

The leftwing noise machine will make outrageous claims, the rightwing noise machine will make outrageous claims - neither will result in them being fired. People listen to these whacky noise machines to get their required dosage of confirmation bias - those that call them journalists, or expect them to act as such, are simply kidding themselves.

Thank you for your irrational partisan opinion about MSNBC.

So, you have nothing.

No, I have your posts trying to tie filibusters to racism. You can obfuscate all you wish, but the posts are there for all to see.

So, what? It wasn't politicians doing that. :failpail:

:doh So what? It was democrats doing it; you asked for a citation; I gave you a citation. :rwbelepha:failpail:
