My only comment is that if anyone on FOX ever said anything like this the libs would be calling for his head on a platter.

And the cons are calling for Bashir's head on a platter, but if someone on Fox said it they'd be very quiet.

You obviously know less about Sarah Palin than a lot of people know.

I'm not going to waste my time telling you all about the 'ladies' sordid history but I will tell you that you can learn a lot on the internet.

Yes, you can "discover" a lot of fantasy trash and other sordid "detail" on the internet. From what I've seen of the woman both in her time in politics and in her time in the national spotlight in the media, I'll say again, I've seen nothing that would suggest or promote that she is a whore or a MILF.

But, please, don't be shy - enlighten me. I'm always happy to pick up new, legitimate, honest information about people in the news.

Well, this "con" isn't calling for his head - I think he serves the conservative cause well, right where he is.

Secondly, it's easy to claim that if someone said something similar on FOX they'd be quiet but to have a legitimate point you'd have to actually point out an occasion where someone said something similar on FOX and the network was either silent or complacent.

I don't think the man should be fired - he's representative of MSNBC's audience and the mean spirited, personal hatred shown by liberals against conservatives - particular strong, female conservatives. No one can deny that liberals refer to strong female conservatives in the most vile, ignorant terms. Check out any number of liberal comments by political commentators or even liberals here on DP when they discuss Palin, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Liz Cheney, Michelle Bachmann, etc. etc.
It seems as though you want to ignore the comments from those on the right about Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren.

A couple years ago when (((GB))) was on Fox News, he said President Obama was racist and hated white people, there wasn't a peep aired by management.

Except a president who pleases the Democrats and the Republicans all of the time.

You got me on that one. But what one should expect is a president who is willing to work with the otherside, not one who condemns them all the time. Although that does work both ways and the Republicans haven't been all that friendly. But the first move belongs to the president.

This isn't about comments from "those on the left", or "those on the right" or comments made between individuals on a forum somewhere. It's about comments on a major news channel made by a "news" commentator.

Conservatives say many nasty things about liberals in the course of "friendly discourse" - the difference is, conservatives don't resort to the vile, personal, degrading insult when being nasty - they just point out the liberal's idiocy, and that's nasty enough.

Rush Limbaugh said:
“So Miss Fluke, and the rest of you feminazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. We want you post the videos online so we can all watch.”

Firstly, who is GB - a guest, or a "personality"?

Secondly, the way Americans, particularly on the left, toss around the term "racist" and claim people hate others because of their race, I would assume you'd consider that every day banter in your circle of friends, and not in any way vile.

I agree with you, except to suggest that MSNBC is a "major news channel" and Bashir a "new commentator" is a big stretch - but I get your point.

Please the last sentence made by CJ.

GB = Glenn Beck.

Do you deny that some of the resistance against President Obama is because he is black?

Racist as a word has lost much of its sting. Over the last five years it is a word that has come to simply mean, I disagree with some of President Obama's policies. That is a shame because a true racist is truely an evil horrorable person. But words meaning continue to change over time. It use to bother me to see the term racist used political only because one had a different political views on things. But I suppose I have gotten use to it and have become more or less immune to it. But this fits in with the politics of today. My side always being right and yours always being wrong. Such is life.

Not really - do you deny that the vast majority of resistance against President Obama is because he's a disaster as President and his race has nothing to do with it?

I addressed this previously.

Ahhh.

I didn't see that.

Thanks for pointing it out because, what a asinine thing to say:

At the very least, Ms. Fluke was admitting to being somewhat promiscuous.

Ms. Fluke was doing absolutely nothing of the sort.

To even suggest that she might have been flies in the face of intelligent, reasoned discourse.

Use of contraceptives in absolutely no way suggests promiscuousness.

Arguing that it does is a complete and total cop out.

What Limbaugh did is absolutely no different than what Bashir did.

Both attacked completely innocent victims.

Of course, in order for you to admit that you'd have to abandon your completely ridiculous assertion that Conservatives somehow have the moral high-ground when it comes to base politically motivated insults of one's ideological opponents.

No, do you deny the majority of it isn't?

Use of contraceptives in absolutely no way suggests promiscuousness.

Well, I would grant you that there are some women who use contraceptives for other reasons. Was it stated somewhere that Ms. Fluke used them for "other reasons"?

The attached Fact Sheet would indicate to me that the vast and overwhelming majority of women who use contraceptives do so to avoid unintended pregnancy.

Contraceptive Use in the United States

According to the article, 62% of all women of reproductive age use some form of contraception. I didn't realize that non-sexual related use of contraceptives was so epidemic in the US. Hopefully, there are serious research teams and research dollars looking into finding a permanent cure for this "malady".

Yes I do. Can you explain why their have been a record number of cloture motions filed in the Senate while he has been president. I think it's pretty clear that some, not all, of the resistance is due to his race. That's an opinion.

Use of contraceptives in absolutely no way suggests promiscuousness.

When you're unmarried that's precisely what it suggests to most folks. Now thast suggestion may be inaccurate, but more times than not it's dead on.
