Grammar exists for a reason. Standardization of communication. Without that, we have nothing in common and will ignore each other. Might as well be speaking a different language.

That is not the issue of today. Today there are people in the Philippines that are suffering beyond belief.

China could just send it directly.

    Oh, and "debt."
    We were owed.

Think of it as a war and our friends desperately need help.

Ill admit, its not smart to completely desert them, and yes you are right, china claiming the South china sea will probably lead some military confrontation and we'll have to use the Philippines as our advance base. I will also admit that i have never left the nest if by nest you mean american soil.

But can you seriously tell me that sometimes you don't think that money could be better used? Can you tell me we couldn't use that money to create jobs? Who cares about allies if we our self's are to far gone? All of our work, all of our "classy" maneuvers will be for nothing if we fall. And of course, the 20 million could be taken from somewhere else in the government. Of course they could use it. Of course 20 million dollars is not a drop in the bucket compared to the 16 trillion we have in dept. But my personal view is that we need to work on ourselfs before we try to fix the world

Some people can walk and chew gum at the same time, others not so much.

If the USA can't help an old ally and friend like the Philippines, who can it help?

    BTW: It's debt, not dept.

    They become a state.

If the Philippines doesn't show the same determination to take them self's out of that category is it really our fault?

Can you tell me that that money wouldn't be perhaps better used in our economy, say in the private sector where it could produce jobs and revenue and get those people working. How can we get them to work if there IS NO JOBS!? Its like trying to start a car with no keys. You can do it, but it would be a lot easier if you had the keys.

I'm not saying don't help country's, just let people take the initiative and donate money to help, not take 20 million dollars (as a start!) out of the government and just give it away when most of that is borrowed money. We cannot afford just to give away money when we are trying to rub two penny's together and not getting a third.
Yes, it is mostly. We caused it however they haven't really done well at building up since ousting our appointed dictator.

Yeah, right. There is no help for us as long as the leftist here draw breath.

Besides, they have better women on average than we do.
