Sorry - I not an alcoholic and don't smoke crack, so there is really no need.

Sorry to disappoint you!

Believe me, I'd have to have an opinion or give a damn about your posts to have any emotion let alone disappointment.

Why didnt they arrest Justin Trudeau when he admitted taking drugs?

Forget about it - he's a liberal - the media giggled, called him a rascal, and went merrily along their way. The big scandal for them was that the Prime Minister, a conservative, admitted not taking illegal drugs, so he must be lying - damn conservative.

Mr. Humble crack mayor strikes again, as he takes to the airwaves for yet another apology.

His wife looks thrilled to be supporting her man in the video.

With his agonized-looking wife at his side, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford apologizes for crude remark  - NY Daily News

Integrity? What integrity?

When you point out what a buffoon he is he sees red. When you ask him a question he sees red. Basically this guy goes off the handle at every opportunity.
Still is he crazier than Mel lastman?

This just in - the plot thickens.

Toronto councilors votes to strip mayor of powers

TORONTO (AP) — Toronto's City Council voted overwhelmingly Friday to strip Mayor Rob Ford of some of his powers in the latest attempt to box in the brash leader who has rebuffed huge pressure to resign over his drinking and drug habits and erratic behavior.
In the span of a few hours Thursday, Ford used obscene language to deny that he pressured a female employee for oral sex, admitted that he had driven while drinking and then apologized for his vulgarity and said he was seeking professional help, though he refused to give details.

I picked other.I could care less what the mayor of Toronto does. Its like trying to care what the mayor of Istanbul Turkey, Oaxaca Mexico, Pretoria South Africa or the mayor of some other city does.

Frankly, I have a hard time caring about my own city's mayor half the time.

He should resign.

Though, I'm not going to lie, watching this fiasco is really, REALLY hilarious!

He's got plenty to eat at home. :lamo

The guy is a disgrace and should resign from office. I was in Toronto a year ago and he was in the middle of a controversy then about driving and reading at the same time. The guy is just toxic.

A toxic buffoon covers the crack mayor fairly well.

His flame gets smaller each day......

At least some comedy comes from it all.

What's a guy gotta do to get fired from this peckerwoods outfit?

I couldn't really understand from day one how anyone voted for this guy, but I understand even less those who still ardently support him now. It takes a real special kind of conservative to still defend Ford after all this ****.

He's not saving the city money. He has wasted more money than the past 4 mayors, in the form of trashing projects that were already in progress. The light-rail system in Toronto that was still in the discovery process was unilaterally trashed by him, but there were still $200 million in agreements with contractors that had to be paid out -- all for work that was never completed. We had a real chance at some restorative infrastructure projects to at least make an ATTEMPT to patch Toronto's aging systems, but he pretty much tossed them all out and with no clear rationale. He invites all the developers to the buffet but then scraps all projects that would help Toronto transition to higher density living, i.e. bike lanes. And no for reason other than 'Toronto is a car city, screw bikes.'

I don't really care that he smoked crack. Drugs should be decriminalized. What I care about is that this guy has zero diplomacy, zero cooperation, is a hypocritical hardliner, makes no effort to cross lines, is totally unprofessional (showing up to city hall meetings wearing a hockey jersey?), is an absolute nepot and crony, and is a complete embarrassment. I have a friend in Japan who has heard about Rob Ford. Toronto is a global laughing stock because of him.

Most of his supporters at city hall have abandoned him. His recourse was to try firing them, so city councilors responded by stripping him of his ability to fire executives. He's trying to silence all dissent, all proper political process, all democracy. And to add insult to injury, he absolutely 100% refuses to step down despite an approval rating less than 30% and all of city council asking him to. He's one of those stubborn bulls who will just dig his heels in until the courts tell him to GTFO. If we didn't have the power controls in place to stop him, Toronto would be dealing with utter fascism right now.

He's a total embarrassment and the worst mayor Toronto has had in 50+ years.

Well since trams (lets call light rail what it is) is a terrible idea that isn't so bad. Fortunately the loon Bergeron who was the biggest pusher of the crappy idea here in Montreal lost so that is on the backburner for now. As to the bike lanes stuff it has done nothing but cause congestion here in Montreal and though the bike season is longer in Toronto it still is at best a 3 season means for a small percentage of people to get around.
However yes Ford is an embarrassment but for some reason Toronto seems to love crazy mayors look at Mel Lastman :)

It doesn't matter if you think it's a bad idea or not. City Council voted to do it, and hired all the contractors to begin the work.

Ford's scant supporters continue to claim that he has saved the city money, but it's simply not true. He has squandered hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts that were for projects that would have renewed infrastructure and increased economic activity. Now Toronto is more in debt but with nothing to show for it.

It would have cost even more to build them. And now it would not have renewed infrastructure it would have cost hundreds of millions of more in lost productivity from traffic jams etc. the construction of such a stupid idea would have entailed.
Killing the trams whatever the cost saved Toronto a crap load of money in the long run.
Thank god they aren't billions more in debt because of the Trams. Even a drunken crack head can get something right from time to time.
