Only when they lose.

Those who think that they will win in a contest against the U.S. Government are always welcome to 'bring it on'

I have no sympathy for them and I won't shed a tear when they get their ass handed to them.

But, hey, keep believing whatever you want to believe, I won't try to take that away from you.

Legally he is not the president of the USA.

The US constitution clearly states that the US president must be a Natural Born Citizen of the USA.

Since Obama's father was not a US citizen but merely in the US on a student visa, Obama jr. is ineligable to be president of the USA.
RHETORICALLY you may have a point. Legally...you do not.

Is the President YOUR President?

I occasionally hear people say, "President <insert name here> is not MY President!" Usually by people who intensely dislike the current President. To me, this places party loyalty, and to a lesser extent ideology, above country.

Have you ever had such sentiments?

I never heard that term used before Mr. Obama was elected. The first time I heard it was by a teaparty member.

Legally I'm correct. It's right there in article II of the US Constitution.
Legally you are not correct. He has been sworn in by a Supreme Court Justice...twice. They obviously disagree with you. Cant help but wonder when it comes to interpretation of law and Constitution, where did YOU get your sheepskin?

Sorry pal but throughout history the mother has always been the deciding factor. Not only that (realistically speaking) any child born in the US is considered a citizen of the US so get over it.

I'm not willing to throw the country under the bus. I just wish our president would stop trying.

The president is throwing this country under the bus. Do you mean like Bush did while he was in office? Because of Bush our country was led into disaster. We are finally beginning to repair damages and rebuild. Its true whether you want to face that fact or not.

Believe whatever you want to believe, that won't change the fact that President Obama will be in the White House until another Democrat take's his place.

Oh good lord. Good luck with that.

Thank you Ted Cruz and the Teavangelicals.

Being a US citizen does automatically make you eligible to be the US president. A Senator, yes, a House member, yes, the presidency, NO!

The US Constitution specifically requires that the president be a natural born citizen of the US, not merely a citizen.

A natural born citizen of the US is someone who was born in the US to parents who are US citizens.

Wrong. Historically the mother has only been the deciding factor if the father is unknown. That is not the case with Obama jr. Although his father abandoned him he is still known to be the biological father nonetheless.

Even Obama himself had previously admitted that he was a subject of the British crown.

You mean OR born to US parents. Anchor babies just have to be born in the US.

:doh

You seem to have misunderstood me.

To clarify for you... NO!

That is not what I mean. :2wave:

That's what the Constitution says.

And the authors of the Fourteenth Amendment used the definition of "Natural Born Citizen" that is defined in "The Laws of Nations," "Son follows the condition of his father."

That's the way "Natural Born Citizen" was defined and taught in our schools until 2008.

Barack Obama is a "Native Born Citizen" not a "Natural Born Citizen."

What ever happened to the rule of law in America ?

Are you my ex wife? She always used that last sentence. Bush didn't do nearly as much damage to the country nationally and internationally as Obama. I questioned many of Bush's decisions and I believe he made some bad choices but he didn't drag us back to a welfare state, he didn't try to print us to prosperity, internationally our friends knew what to expect from us and our enemies knew where they stood. Obama has turned us into a joke internationally. Putin is more respected than Obama. There's some truth for you.

Nope.

§ 212. Citizens and natives.

>" The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country. Vattel’s Law of Nations and the Founding Fathers

>" Vattel was the key in the United States Constitution in determining the Article 2 Natural Born Citizen clause. Here is a list of the references used by John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington in regards to Vattel’s Law of Nations. This should dispel any notion that the Founding Fathers did not use the Law of Nations as their guide..."<

'The Law of Nations or Principles of Natural Law' as U.S. Federal Common Law Not English Common Law Define What an Article II Natural Born Citizen Is

>" There are two United States Supreme Court decisions that show that the meaning of an Article II “natural born Citizen” is not found in the Fourteenth Amendment or in any other part of the Constitution, but rather in the common law. The Supreme Court decided these cases after the Fourteenth Amendment was adopted in 1868. In the first case, the Court decided whether the person was a "natural-born citizen" and in the second one whether the person was a "citizen of the United States."

Chief Justice Waite, in Minor v. Happersett, in 1875, stated: "The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens,as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first." Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1875). Additionally, it is important to note that, even though the Fourteenth Amendment was already in place, Justice Waite stated that there is doubt as to whether a child born in the United States to foreign parents is a citizen (Id. at 167-68) and that the Fourteenth Amendment did not affect the citizenship of men or women. Id. at 170. It is also critical to note that Justice Waite did not refer to the English common law when defining a "natural born citizen," for we shall see that the English common law did not consider the citizenship of the child's parents when declaring that child a "natural born subject." Rather, Justice Waite refered to the "common law" that as we shall see below has its origins in the law of nations and natural law and which became U.S. common law..."<

If you are born here, it is natural. The right just tried to change the definition when Obama came along. I dont believe it says anything about your Daddy in the constitution, does it?
Why did you think that?
