Excellent movie, but I think anything Eddie Murphy stars in is an excellent movie!! Do you know how to do all that magic stuff?
Shush. It's not magic. It's payola. Don't say a word to anyone.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

Man, why didn't you stop with the Goldwater statement. Now I have to recant my praise.

Sorry you don't know what conservatism is.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

I like that you qualified it with a namesake style conservative rather than trying to convince that one particular brand of conservatism is the true conservative. Good on ya.

Double-like.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

I am an Independent. No Democrats or Republicans in the Oval Office for me. I'd like to see Gary Johnson as President of the United States.

Sure, why not vote for Mickey Mouse? It's about as likely to happen.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

I would probably be ok with Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz, but would rather see Bobby Jindal.

Of the ones listed, Chris Christie would be my least favorite, he isn't really a Rep, more like a sheep in Wolves clothing, aka a moderate liberal pretending to be something else. I don't really see where Christie wouldn't be as bad as another liberal, other than at least the Dems might actually hold him accountable.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

Which just proves it.

It's my way of dismissing someone that won't learn no matter how often he has to be told that his way isn't the only way.

Nor did I say it was. You're the one sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.

A "true" conservative being some guy that came to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, and represented one school of conservative thought during that time period? Quite audacious, if you ask me.

Well, where does my nose belong?

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

Sure, why not vote for Mickey Mouse? It's about as likely to happen.

Because my vote belongs to me. Most American sheeple...ahem, buy the buttload of crap fed to them by the two controlling factions of corpgov, that non-partisan votes are wasted.

I have used this analogy in the past but it continues to be relevant:

I ask you to hold out your hands, palms up, so that I may place human feces from once person in one of your hands and human feces from another source in your other hand so that you may decide which turd you like that best. Those are your only two choices. People who buy into the "two party system" are actually going to accept the handful of human waste in one hand and compare it to the other. Some of us - and the number is growing - are saying, "How about you don't put sh*t in my hands?"

My vote counts because there are more and more people like me, people who have had enough, people who want democracy in America. Every single time someone votes for a third party candidate, the vote counts. Fence sitters and frustrated and fed up folks need to know that they are not alone. My vote is my voice. More than ever it counts. It is seen. It is counted.

Democrats and Republicans are very much a part of the solution. Every 4 years they play a Superbowl where there are only ever two teams. The losing team is never out of the league. The losing team is assured of playing for the championship in 4 years. Knowing this both parties have a vested interest in keeping the game closed. Democrats and Republicans are a major part of the problem. Neither party can be the solution. They've long ago forfeited that option. They know that and it is in their best interest that sheeple keep voting to halt the threat to America of the other party.

The next president will be Jeb Bush. It's a done deal.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

Rand Paul. We need someone who values liberty over a police state.

And as far as Chris Christie goes, we don't need the morbidly obese president dying in office from a heart attack.

LMAO at thinking Rand Paul has any chance whatsoever.

Polling all year has Rand Paul as one of the top picks. So much so that since several polls started proving that to be a trend across the country, Paul has been lambasted with several hit pieces by several sources in the MSM. That tells me the left leaning media finds him a threat.

I never understood how "fear" and "threat" mean that the reaction should be "I must support this!" in populist conservative politics. Conservatives "feared" the politics of Dennis Kucinich, but that doesn't mean I should go out and support his candidacy. I wouldn't because I actually do fear his politics.

I do fear Rand Paul, but it's not because I somehow think deep down he is right and will "save this country" or improve it. On the contrary, I fear it, because I think if the policies actually stand a chance at being implemented, they would cause harm.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

If you read the business websites it is no secret to you that big business is backing the moderate Republicans. Big business has grown addicted to corporate welfare and like cheap labor. The moderate Republicans are inclined to appease big business on both because moderate Republicans are all lined up to support so called "comprehensive immigration reform" which amounts to glorified amnesty at a very big cost to taxpayers while assuring legal cheap labor for businesses. According to business insiders this is a big priority for them. And they do love big government providing them with that corporate welfare and government contracts that an over bloated government generates farming out all the work it has created through their big government policy making at a great cost to the taxpayers. Dang they have no appreciation for a Tea Party Conservative with a libertarian streak that wants to shrink the size of government and shrink their business opportunities via the government in the process!

So it should get real interesting in the coming months because Tea Party Conservatives want to reign in corporate welfare just as much as they do entitlement spending, and do not support the glorified amnesty. Marco Rubio a once backed Tea Party favorite saw his poll numbers take a free fall when he got involved in the Senate "Amnesty" bill and has since pulled his support for the bill. Paul Ryan who has been pushing the Amnesty bill in the House has also seen a significant decline in his numbers as well. Tea Party conservatives would also like to see the Fed audited with all this QE continuing where corporations/businesses are getting wealthier yet that wealth isn't being felt by those on Main Street in the way of jobs. Big business doesn't much care for that idea either.

I watched a recent interview with moderate Chris Christie by Stephanopoulos of ABC. Christie dodged Stephanopoulos' questions avoiding giving an answer four times on whether he supported the Immigration reform bill currently pending in Congress. Christie played it like a typical politician. Double talk.

That's a smart move for him. I applaud Christie's evasiveness. It's a quality the American people don't like, but need when voting for their leaders.

Go Rand! I like the conservative who is the least interventionist in foreign affairs.

I disagree. Stand for something or fall for anything. The one that puts it out front what he believes and why without *****footing around is a man of his convictions. The one that won't has no convictions and changes like a chameleon when it benefits him .

Why? 3 years out and he needs to throw some bones to the base. He just needs to figure out what those are. Give all of your ideas at once, you give the opposition 3 years to attack it. Frankly, the truth would kill the Tea Party. They tend to reject folks for having the audacity to be honest in at least one area they don't like. Meanwhile, the most honest ones they like are the ones that can't get elected for the general election.

It's a stupid policy Tea Partiers want.

Re: For Non Democrats Only: Who Would You Like To See Win The 2016 Republican Primar

Select all you would be happy with as the republican nominee for president in 2016. Please only vote if you are not a democrat and would potentially vote republican in the 2016 presidential race. Also please add other names I missed in the thread.

Adding poll, please be patient.

My preference is Christie, in close second it's Jeb. After that I could accept Ryan or Walker. I could swallow Rubio. I probably could not vote for Rand Paul. If somehow it came down to Keyes or Cruz I'd be tempted to vote for Clinton to register my frustration.
