A court of law would deem that "Cruel and Unusual Punishment," and dismiss the case!

    Greetings, humbolt.
Morining Pol. Cruel and unusual indeed. Football is under attack. Incognito just needs to say that he's suffering from some head trauma, and he'll be the object of sorrowful understanding. We all know that throwing your body around like that should not include your head.

Is this some kind of prelude to eventually giving everyone a trophy like they do in grade school...so no one is a loser? If so, don't forget the juice box cause football is a thirsty sport!

It could be. The sport is just too violent for the tender sensibilities of some people somewhere. Beats the hell out of me. I played in high school. Anybody who plays and doesn't think they're going to get hurt probably doesn't have anything upstairs to hurt in the first place. But yeah, we're going to get all PC over football - no bullying. Looks like they'd like that both on and off the field. Soon we'll be forced to watch replays of Obama drone attacks on a loop on Sundays. Far, far less offending.

The entire Dolphins franchise should be folded.

Seriously, Incognito should get what's coming to him. He was never much more than a thug with a million dollar paycheck. Martin needs to be tougher, I can't see how he battles on the line if he's that much of a wuss. Coaches should be fired for letting the situation get out of control - sure they wanted Incognito to toughen him up, but maybe they should have told him not to cross the line.

Why is it so often that these polls don't contain my answer? Is the pollster so locked into a position that he can't truly see all sides?

    My answer is:

    LOSE HIS JOB.

(that's it...no criminal charges (unless Martin wants to press charges for the threat to kill him)...no investigation....no NFL punishment. The offender should lose his job, as he has lost his job BEFORE for bad behavior.)

He should be reinstated and play. The Dolphins can institute new rules if they want, and hey...maybe the coach shouldnt tell other players to "toughen him up". If the league wants to cover its ass and put out some rule they can do that as well. Beyond that...guess what...its a rough sport. Life is rough. Some people need to grow the **** up, especially a 350 pound grown ass man.

Look...ANYONE that has played organized football knows this kind of stuff goes on. Always has. Always will. There is a REASON why the majority of his teammates support Incognito. Hell...I read yesterday that the black players on his team not only support him but have labelled him an honorary black man.

The "honorary black man" ****e...being an "honorary white" is an insult. For as many black guys who like Incognito, there are those who don't. Black people aren't a hive mind. Besides which, Martin is black...so he might disagree with that designation.

Before this, many Miami Dolphins have been on record for saying that Incognito is "more black" than Martin.

I figured it's just a matter of time before Martin gets called an "Uncle Tom" for going to Stanford. Remember what Jalen Rose said about Grant Hill, who went to Duke?

Martin is not supported by his teammates...a pretty good indication of what the people that understand the game feel about the situation. Was he over the line? Yeah...maybe. As pretty much every person that has played the game will tell you...when someone is over the line...you put them back on their side of the line.

I'm actually quite amused at all the gushing over this. OMG...really? People speak harshly...maybe even 'bully' players? WHy...this must be some NEW thing. Ive NEVER heard a coach tell a player to put on a skirt, or stop hitting like a girl, or any such thing...certainly not back in the 70's and 80's when I played. Why...these revelations are as shocking as when we found out that Barry Bonds and others used (gasp) steroids! Who fricken knew? I mean...other than ANYONE that watched or was around the game since the mid 80's...
