If illegals didn't do it Americans might get to do it for 100 bucks a day. And if your cabbage cost more so be it. It's the price of giving our poor jobs.
Islam is an antiquated religion and needs to either modernize with the times or be completely eradicated.
There are two types of Muslims, terrorists, and their enablers. They need to fix that if they want to be part of civilized society.

No, it's unnecessary and wasteful. There are more effective ways to deal with illegal immigration.

I agree. The question has never been do we have the means, because we do. My point in saying such an outrageous thing is that the only thing we really lack is the will to enforce the borders in a reasonable way. We have the means. We lack the will.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to simply build two really big walls and let millions of rottweilers run around between them?

Much more fun, too. Imagine the sheer laugh factor.

Some of them come to sample the Mesquite Barbeque, Blue Bell Ice Cream and Big Red Soda that is available in Texas. Only the silly ones come here to work.

This sounds like a very effective strategy. Would the rottweilers be armed?

It worked well for Austria until they joined the Schengen area. I'm not just talking about building a taller wall but complete militarization of the border. It solves your illegal immigration issue for sure and will greatly reduce trafficking of all kinds across the border. What do you Americans think especially those who live near the border?
Absolutely not. There are already plenty of military bases "along the border" and it doesn't make any difference primarily because the military doesn't have the powers of law enforcement. The military is used to fight "enemies, foreign and domestic" not enforce immigration laws, nor should it take on this role. That is the job of the border patrol. You want to beef up the BP, then that could be a discussion, but they already do a pretty good job especially with the addition of some good technologies.
