Obama said ACA insurance would cost the equivalent of your cell phone bill.

“Through the marketplaces,” Obama said, “you can get health insurance for what may be the equivalent of your cell phone bill or your cable bill, and that’s a good deal.”

So, how much does your cell phone cost you per month?

Who is your carrier.....that is quite the bargain unless it is a bundle price.

Two Cell phones plus a Hot Spot (WiFi for computers), unlimited text and phone, data at 6 Gig. $208 after taxes.

It depends. I have 2 cell phones. the one that is a single phone account is $49.99 pre-all the taxes and fees that run it up to around $60.00. The other one is a second line on my wife's plan so I really don't know how much it is--maybe $30 more.

nothing, it is a company perk

I pay 35 dollars a month. I get unlimited talk, US long distance, voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, 3-way calling, call forwarding, text messaging, picture messaging, video messaging and international text messaging. Although I wish could disable the voicemail.

I agree. So our says "sorry, the mailbox you are calling is full."

My company just switched from Aetna, to Cigna. Weekly payment for 2 adults, non smokers, and 2 children, went from 100 per week, to 120. Max annual co-pay went from 500, to 1,500. Coverage went down.

The new company sucks.

My cell phone bill is FAR less, and it's for 2 phones, unlimited calling, texting, and 500 (I think) meg data.

$6/month..

With what carrier please? That's a hell of a deal. Surely this isn't an "Obamaphone":) that is sunsidized, is it?

I bought an unlocked Snapfone (the old fart model with huge fonts and buttons) and I bought a 1000 minute T-Mobile card good for one year. I'll never use 1000 minutes but I couldn't get a better deal. If your carrier is GSM, I'll switch. Thanks for the info.

I'd love to know how some of these cell bills are so cheap. I pay $300 a month but I have 4 iPhones ona share everything plan with unlimited talk and text and six g of internet.

Virgin Mobile

$5/month + tax or $0.20/minute, whichever is more

BTW, that's with a cheap phone, not a smart phone, and texts are $0.50 each.

Too bad. Virgin is CDMA (like Verizon) and my fogey-phone is GSM (like ATT).

Still, good info for rare users of cell phonery.

Thanks

You pay $150 "green dollars" a month for your cell phone? You must be rich! I'm looking to be a household pet in case you decide to adopt.

Those bills are for dedicated cell-phones, not smart phones.

No way would I pay that amount for a smartphone...

It's crazy that there are companies who still make a distinction between short and long distance.

If I only used it for making calls & taking the occasional picture, neither would I. I use my Droid more for internet and cross-country navigation than anything else.

In fact now that I think about it I don't send or receive very many calls on my "phone" at all.
