This is what I think will happen. I think that the only thing that kept the Supreme Court from going further than they did when they struck down DOMA was political support. They didn't want to be seen as legislating from the bench on such a divisive and major issue. I believe that once most states and even more Americans support gay marriage, the Supreme Court will rule in favor of it.

    hmmm very possible

I just "assumed and guessed" they didnt rule on it because they simply didnt have to, the cases werent set up for a direct ruling so they took the easyway out

im thinking that very soon, 3 years max a case will be a direct case and force the issue.

already have 4 State Supreme courts rule on it and theres potential for like 3 more in the next year and many other lower court rulings

    regardless equal rights is coming

How can you be both pro human and pro choice if pro choice involves killing a human or a soon to be embryo that'll turn into an unborn human?

thats easy if you understand the facts and reality of the situation

in the abortion debate there are TWO lives and no pro-choice/abortion does not involve killing a human, it involves choice and respecting rights

does the womans human rights not count to you?

im pro choice because its the ONLY FACTUAL way to "TRY" and respect BOTH lives unless of course you have a way to ban abortion and not violate a womans current legal and human rights including her right to life.

IF you can do that im on board!!!

Frankly I stopped seeing the point of resisting awhile ago. But then I stopped being very religious awhile ago too...so for some I suppose it matters.

IMO religion is a complete dishonest cop-out to "FIGHT" against equal rights for gays or trying to "LEGALLY STOP" equal rights for gays, its totally disingenuous and hypocritical

but as you already know religion is a fine reason to teach, preach, think, feel, say you are against it

not to many million of religious people support "equal rights" along with lists of religious orgs, even the pope supports equal rights for gays

now he would personally "religiously" marry them but he thinks they have the right to get legally married and have the same human and legal rights as the rest of us humans. He simply gets it.

It would be mississippi i think, except the SC will have long since ruled on it. If you break down the polls by state, i think a majority in all but a handful states - all in the south - will support it by 2020. By november 2016, i think it will be legal either by court or ballot in a clear majority of states and then the SC will make it national the next summer.
