It says a great deal about our justice system when some teen who holds up a convenience store goes to prison while somebody who deprives thousands of people of the pensions that they worked thirty to forty years for walks away free as a bird.

Agreed. Shades of gray, bad behavior, and legal innovations should be confined to civil court. Criminal court should be the land of black-and-white crimes against persons and property.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

So you think they get paid wages? Well, yes they do, a minor amount to make it look right. Their separate Cayman Island Businesses get paid huge amounts for 'services' they provide the bank.

Exactly. Its very sad that some here apologize for these thieves and want to cushion their landing simply because they were once rich and they worship that class above all.

Really? Who, specifically, should be prosecuted or are you saying all bankers should just imprisoned or executed.

If they actually broke existing laws, then certainly, anyone who breaks the law should go to jail. However, there are a lot of people who seem to think that just because they're the focus of the financial failure, they should go to prison, even if everything they did was legal. It's absurd.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Liquidation of all his assets then garnishment like any other debtor with a judgment against them. With, of course, appropriate auditing to insure he isn't stashing money.

Granted he'll probably never be able to pay it all back but the defrauded get zilch if he's in jail.
