    common sense

Choice #3 is for people who think that people with common sense tend to gravitate toward a specific political party, or toward a specific political persuasion such as unaffiliated, centrist, moderate, libertarian, liberal, conservative, etc.
If you expect people to be rational, you aren't being rational.

    No polling option yet.

I tend accept the premise that many times common sense is a worthwhile pursuit. On the other hand, I am also especially aware that many times common sense is neither "common" nor "sensible."

    By definition, it's always sensible.

When common sense implies common opinion, in many policy areas, it rarely meets the "chosen in accordance of wisdom" or the "likely of benefit" criteria.

Just seeing the way the majority of people park their vehicles tells me that most people have no common sense.

I have never considered common sense as having anything to do with common opinion. It's like the trait illustrated in the Emperor's New Clothes, it is common sense that allows a person to break with common opinion.

    Re: common sense

It's frustrating to hear so many dumb down complex problems and claim "common sense" to be the cure for all ailments. More often than not their idea is as damaging or moreso than the "Elites" solution.

I rarely use the term common sense, but I noticed since a child that promotion of common sense was directly tied to common opinion or interpretation.

It's funny when you have to provide a definition for something as basic as 'common sense'.
If you expect people to be rational, you aren't being rational.

    Re: common sense

If common sense was actually common, it wouldn't be so hard to find. Most people would have it.
