Have a new escape with the 2.0 Ecoboost in for about two years now and the thing is great! very quick care for price/money. All wheel is actually very good in snow and mud/light off road which i was very hesitant about. (not having a selectable low)
The M5 is awesome of course but some little issues.
My dad has an Eddie Bauer 5.0 Explorer that is close to 300,000 miles. He refuses to get rid of it, even though it looks like crap!

yep my uncle has a bronco II that is up there that high also and also looks like crap

Dark blue and sky blue lol

now by no means am i crowning ford king or anything just pointing out I like them, their looks and their performance.
My explorer i wasnt even that nice to it. I will say i did all the maintenance the book told me too. But i had it off roading, drove it through a creek quite a few times, blew out all four strusts /shocks jumping it lol and it still lasted this long.

I think most vehicles will except for the lemon here and there that come off the line at 4:50 on a friday just like everything else.
Do the recommend maintenance and it should be fine.

Ahh! The Bronco II the pinkie toe of vehicles. Loved those things. My wife who was my girlfriend at the time had a tan and grey one. We beat the crap out of that thing until it finally gave up the ghost. It had 175,000 on it but had been through a few clutches.

Pretty impressed that you off road your Explorer. Those things seem to be pretty capable off road.

I race Fords and have always owned them, I guess that is why I am partial to them.

Nothing major, i dont want to over sell it
some mud bogging and trails and created many of my own and theres this spring waterfall place lots of people go to but the only way to get there is hike, ATV or off road and it involves driving though a creek. and i did that quite a bit getting stuck a couple times but never stranded and the creek isnt supper deep maybe 2 feet max in the place we cross anyway

Still impressive! I have a side by side for my off roading adventures but have had a few vehicles out in mud before. It's the adventure of it all isn't it?

But the bottom line is i have no complaints about the truck at all, none. I bought new and got my money out of it for sure.

    yep!

its the way i feel about the new escape. At first i was turned off by the nontruck look and crossover look but as soon as i drove one the turbo has so much balls for what type of vehicle it is. Supposedly the 0-60 is 6.3 and it has 270 torque and 240hp which isnt pony car or anything but in a crossover 2.0 that cant you cant beat it. I wouldnt be surprised it it does 6 flats on 97.

theres a green camero by me that i piss off often, now OF COURSE he beats me light to light and stuff like that but im just fast enough to piss him off and make him worry lol and on the highway if i can get to my governor speed first it give him problems lol

Our Edge is pretty peppy. I think its around 260hp for a smaller SUV crossover. Like you say not much beats it off the line. Not sure what the wife will get next time around, either an Explorer or another Edge I suspect. I want a Raptor real bad but $60,000 for a non diesel truck is pretty steep.

Im good on vehicles for now but id love to have a new explorer sport with the 3.5 eco boost in them

and yeah the raptor is awesome

I was actually upset they stop making the sportrac, a sportrac adrenalin with the 3.5 in it would have been my dream come true.
A sporttrac adremlin is what i would of got if they didnt stop making them.
