Pffft, maybe back in 1790. For the past several decades all it's done is point fingers at itself and bulk up on ungranted powers and destruction of freedom.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

    This, precisely.

The people who seem to be getting upset at Obama over this seem to be the people who get upset at Obama over everything.

Ok I could maybe make a slide for the question, so do you think going on late night talk shows is "presidential"?

It's not just "this one thing" though. Add them all up and for the last couple of decades, the president has been a joke.

I don't think going on late night talk shows is necessarily unpresidential. It depends on what they do. For example if Obama just goes on Colbert as a guest to get interviewed remaining mostly serious while Colbert throws in a few jokes I have no problem with that at all.

I guess that is where you and I differ. I think the office of the presidency is supposed to be professional. I don't see that with Obama.

I don't think its necessarily unprofessional to be going on talk shows. It certainly can be, but the way many of the Senators and Representatives and even Presidents that I've seen do at least the Daily Show and Colbert Report, which are the only ones I watch, usually strike a pretty professional tone. Perhaps they're involved in a joke or two, but generally they just seem to be trying to get the message out to the types of people who watch these shows, and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Like I said, we differ. I think elective officials should avoid going on those shows altogether. There is a professionalism that just isn't there when it happens.

I understand we differ, I'm just trying to understand what you see is unprofessional about appearing on these shows. From what I've seen, most of the time when appearing these officials act what I'd consider professionally.
