Of course you understand the House is acting precisely as the Constitution designed it to. It is up to the Senate mostly and the White House by influence, to deal with the spending bills that originate in the House. The fact they won't deal with the Constitutionally defined process places all the blame of the shutdown squarely on the shoulders of the Senate, and to a less degree on the White House.

It's not for the mules in the press to sell lies and attempt to hold the House hostage to their demands just because they want something. Not how it works.

LOL....oh yes.....the Constitution was designed for the tea baggers to hold the people of the United States hostage because they have lost ever battle in the war. Somehow...I doubt that....but thanks for playing.

Thank you in advance for posting anything at all, other than more of your uninformed opinion, that shows the House is doing anything un-Constitutional.

They are doing precisely what the Constitution charges them to do. It's not for the uninformed and easily manipulated to claim otherwise.

Okie Dokie......If you think that the Constitution is designed so that a minority party can hold the American people hostage when they don't get their way.....more power to ya.

BTW.....did you see the "classic" interview with Reince Priebus yesterday where he said "This is how the PARTY OF NO Governs".....LOL......too funny.

See, you can't even follow a simple request. I asked for you for information showing what is unConstitutional about what the House is doing, and ignoring part of my request, you added more uninformed opinion.

Hey if you want to go through life proving your ignorance....more power to ya!

Where did I ever say it was "Unconstitutional". There are a lot of things that you CAN do...but there is a difference between CAN and SHOULD, Do you understand the difference? The Constitution and our system of Government is not designed for a bunch of teabaggers that decide to throw a tantrum because they can't get their way...and hold the American people hostage. The funny thing is that they expected this "groundswell of public support" that simply didn't materialize. They must be getting their information from the same source that told that that Romney was going to comfortably win in a landslide......LOL.

The G-nO-P will lose from this kerfuffle - big-time, but don't take my word for this, wait and see, the fractures in the GOP are showing up right now.

The Tea Party faction of the GOP will pay a heavy price for its attempt to sink the Affordable Care Act.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

This Country is facing very real and very bad financial problems because DC can't seem to comprehend that a $17 trillion debt will cause destruction, eventually, and also that taking people's hard-earned money to give away to those who don't work, will make those people poor, eventually. If the economy is improving, as the MSM and the administration are telling us, why are the record foodstamp numbers increasing? Companies downsizing to 29 employees to avoid the costs of Obamacare is sure to swell those numbers even more, because families do need to eat!

Thats what happens when you let teabaggers take over your party....the GOP is completely delusional if they think there is any good outcome for them here.

Please remember that a lot of the losers in the GOP still have not accepted the fact that they got their backsides handed to them last November.

They will all have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, out of Washington, D. C. in about thirty years when the GOP is reduced to a minor, regional party by the massive demographic change which is coming at the GOP like a tidal wave right now.

Needless to say, I won't be shedding any tears for those losers when that happens.

But I might throw a little party.

We have no budget. We have been working on stop-gap legislation throughout the Obama Presidency.

The last budget passed was during the final year of Bush's term. So we have to wonder why a series of CR's is exactly what the Dems want? How does that benefit them?

Greetings, Fisher. :2wave:

I think it will be much sooner than 30 years....especially with this horrible backfiring stunt.

This poll seems like it's a poll to declare loyalty to a political party and nothing else.

That is your opinion, which you are entitled to, but I will ignore.

If you think that you have a better poll, put it out there, if it's worthwhile I might participate.

No one forces anyone to participate in these polls, it's all up to you.

Well, I think the House is doing precisely what they should do.

So there you go. It doesn't matter what lies and rhetoric you're trying to sell.

Hi Polgara :2wave:

When provisions of Obamacare are being waived off, or delayed, costs are now looking to skyrocket, promises about keeping ones insurance if they like are are false, and an extreme shortage of health providers is forcast, something needs to be done.

It would seem the Democrats only see politics, rather than the practical, and instead of working to correct the mountains of predicted faults, just want to plow straight ahead, because of principle.

The House has put forth multiple spending authorization bills to keep the government running, and Reid and Senate has rejected them. This shutdown is exclusively on their backs. They could have passed the funding for the Goverment the House sent over, and then entered into negotiations with the Democrats about Obamacare. What the heck, the President already waived off a major provision of his plan, so what would be the harm.

If we push hard enough, these facts will come out, and the Democrats can once again be seen for who they are.

So there you go. It doesn't matter what lies and rhetoric you're trying to sell.

And I hope that the house continues to engage in the same type of extortionist tactics that are turning the country against them in overwhelming numbers. There was a poll taken in UTAH of all places that I saw this morning. By a margin of 56-37, even Utahns are against this teabagger ploy. You KNOW that when you are losing UTAH.....you are getting creamed in the battle...Utah is the most Republican and Conservative state in the Country. Good luck keeping doing exactly what you are doing. I will encourage your efforts as they are certainly helping usher in the destruction of the Republican party.

The party that pushed the last debt ceiling crisis that resulted in the Sequester that cut funding to nutrition programs for women and children, cancer research, national parks, the entire District of Columbia, and the VA, now wants to fully fund these and other programs and is calling the Democrats cruel for refusing to reinstate these vital government services.

Boner learned that trick from Reid -- when the Senate sent the House amended CRs minus the ACA provisions, the funding levels were the ones the Republicans wanted. The idea was that when the House rejected the CR because of the amendments, it could be pointed out that House Republicans were voting against spending levels they themselves had lobbied for.

Both sides are playing politics and neither side is interested in losing for the sake of "the general welfare."

The negotiating should be over BUDGET ITEMS in a budget dispute NOT SETTLED LAW!
Boner and his tea assholes are holding the country hostage to get unprecedented political leverage in a budget extortion. They are treasonous anarchist and should be censured.

The TEA assholes have Boner over a barrel and he has no where to go but into the bottle . Everyday he appears on TV drunker than the day before. The anarchists have taken over the GOP and they are doomed to failure. The republicons are now eating their own.

With each passing week the real question seems to be "who are the republicans?" there seems to be several warring factions.......... traditional pro business Wall Street types .............. economic conservatives ........ born again religious fundamentalists ........... tea party reactionaries ............

just who is it that controls the Republican Party?

This latest flap in Washington over the government shut down is only widening the fracture within the party and exposing its very fragile structure.

An asshole egocentric junior Senator from Texass has taken control of the house as the speaker retreats into the bottle.
Anarchy is the goal of the TEA assholes and now that the government is shut down they are in ecstasy.
They all should be censured and tried for treason.

And isn't it fun watching them self-destruct. I am loving every minute of it.

Tell you what, I'm thinking you're probably not the best judge of sound policy, so while I appreciate your opinion, it's worth what I paid for it.

The only people holding the country hostage are the Democrats and the Democrat leadership in the Senate. I suppose one would have to add to a minor extent the amatuers in the White House.

The action of the House of Representatives is precisely within the powers outlined in the Constitution. The Senate, and the White House have full responsibility for the budget crisis. It doesn't matter what the uninformed think.
