Should Boehner go?

Should John Boehner keep his job as the Speaker of the House?

  • Yes. He's done as good a job as he can, given the circumstances.

  • No, and he should be replaced by a true conservative, not a RINO.

That's very optimistic of you. Call me cynical, but they've done some stupid stuff that's hurt them before, and then they turn around and pat themselves on the back for it. Point is, I'm worried Ted Cruz, or someone like him will replace Beohner.

Heya SB. :2wave: Wouldn't happen as Cantor is being groomed for that Spot.

How are you MMC? :2wave:
Really? I would like that a lot. Eric Cantor is pretty moderate on most issues.

Boner cares more about the radical right than Moderate Republicans and Democrats.

he needs to go!!!!!!!!

I always find it funny how liberals want to manage the leadership of Republicans either in Presidential races or in congressional power positions. Why don't you ask yourself if Harry Reid should go?

Ted's in the wrong house for that, but someone like him for sure. Remember, according to the TP line, they're the REAL Repulicans. The moderates who defined the party for decades are RINOs.

That would be a treat. There's 50 or so Democratic Senators who would do better than Reid.

The Democrats sure did slap down Joe Manchin fast enough didn't they?
Geezuz they didn't even wait 1 news cycle.

LOL fail on my part. :lamo I keep hearing this term RINO. Does it stand for something?

... and if I were Hapless Harry I wouldn't turn my back on Chuck Schumer when stepping off a curb.

Reid gone would likely leave Shumer in the leadership and that insufferable jackass loves a microphone even more than Obama and even though he would drive people crazy at least he might get the Senate moving.

As much as I don't like Schumer, he's loud and proud. Good things in a leader.

Y'all just don't get it - moderate republicans voted with Boehner too. You try to act like this a small percentage who wants to hold on and do what their constiuency wants, but it's not, it's the majority of the party. The dems don't hold the people's house, the republicans do. You can piss and moan and try your weak attempts at telling the republicans how they should behave, if only they were dems. Well they're not and they're not listening to you. Why should they, you're not going to vote for them even if they bend over and behave the way you wish.

Dems have tried this tactic for years, trying to tell republicans how to behave like dems, it never works and the few you convince are reviled by most of the grassroots.

Unless Republicans are utterly convinced that they will get more accomplished with another candidate (which I sincerely doubt), I would say no-Boehner should not be replaced. Asking him to be replaced with a moderate is also likewise foolish.

Yep SB.....he is the #2 in the House for the Repubs. Which really.....I think Ryan should stay and not run for the Presidency and keep his hands on that purse.

There is another too. They were calling them the young guns before the Rise of the Tea Party.

Heya Bubba. :2wave: Yeah.....Schumer is and has always been one devious prick. Good thing he is only liked up there in the NE and NY.

If the left thinks Boehner needs to be replaced by a moderate then he must be doing a pretty good job. Nothing makes the left's job more easy than a moderate Republican.

I can't say that Ryan is moderate, but he definitely seems more rational to me. More like he would be a stronger leader than Boner.

Well.....if the Repubs take the Senate in 2014. They might want to consider removing Boehner then. I doubt any would before then anyways.

You seem right leaning so I have ask because my bias obviously clouds my view of him. Are you satisfied with Boehner?

Makes sense to me. I'm hoping Obama doesn't cave on this shutdown. If he does he will be enabling that sort of silly behavior.
