So perhaps the OP would have been correct if he stated 'switch to insurance offered in the ACA exchange'?

Thankfully for at least the next 4 years my company health insurance is GUARANTEED to remain as it is by the Union Contract that I work under. I don't doubt that at some point I'm going to have to start paying taxes on the value of that plan, which just means I'll have to find other ways to reduce my tax burden.

If/when that plan is removed in January, 2018 I will NOT join an ACA plan. I will instead go without insurance and pay their fine, again after finding other ways to reduce my tax burden to compensate.

Yes, and the point bears mentioning that in the ACA, one of the good things to come out of it are the exchanges. They cost the government almost no money(subsidies are another part of the ACA, but insurance bought through the exchange may qualify for subsidies), put information in an easy to find place, easy to compare, and plans range from very cheap and basic, to very expensive, with a wide range of possible options. Some have complained that the lowest cost insurance through the exchanges is pretty poor(it is), but if you do not have insurance and that is all you can afford, it is still a whole lot better than nothing. There are a number of things wrong with ACA, but the exchanges to my mind are not one of those things.

A few days in jail would cost the government much more then my measly fine would gain them.

    Hmm...

    I don't have healthcare.
And I probably won't get any until and unless whoever enforces this starts threatening me.

I don't want nor need insurance.

I won't accept the mark of the beast.

I agree with that, and I think most conservatives would too, since exchanges were our idea. What wasn't our idea is all the mandates required to get on the exchanges. The idea was that ANY insurance could be on the exchange and consumers could shop and compare and make the ultimate decision themselves. What makes ACA not conservative is that the government decides what is acceptable insurance.

Only thing needing replacement is all your lies.
My lies? I went through and did the calculator. I'd pay over $658 a month in the exchange. I pay $320 a month now. I used to pay $99 a month. I used to get (through my employer) $20 copay and a $1500 ded. Now, it is a $40 copay and $3000 ded. I used to have dental, now I don't. All those changes were made to bring our insurance in compliance with the ACA. We had to add all those "free" well visits. So, that meant cutting back on copays and the deductible while raising the employee AND employer contribution.

The ACA failed. It failed miserably and it isn't even in full effect yet.

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
