What would be great would be treating the position of Speaker of the House a the leader of the whole body of the House and not as some sort Majority SUPER-Leader. (Sort of superior to the Majority Leader)

Hell no. He's a worthless politician in the top 1% income bracket. What's there to pity?

No. He's doing all this stuff he doesn't want to do to try and save his job. He knows it's bad for the country but would rather have his speaker-ship than do the right thing. It sucks the position he is in with his own party, but he is not doing anything to fight it.

If he whole-heartedly believed not paying congress' bills was good would you feel sorry for him?

It did and if how the Speaker of the House is being treated or thought of is a problem then maybe it is time to have that ship return to port. Otherwise I do not care what opinions of people have of the Speakers of the House and the members of the House that share his Party membership when they are not agreeing to get along with the members of the other Party.

Absolutely. He's consistently been forced into battles despite clear disadvantages by a chunk of his party with no political savvy whatsoever. It's a tough situation that I don't envy in the least.

Maybe the Speaker of the House is being treated as a "problem" is because he can't control his own caucus.

Kevin McCarthy is the GOP whip, the guy designated to keep the caucus in line, and he reports directly to Cantor. Cantor's knife is so far into Boehner's back it's virtually coming out of his chest.
