Good points. I'll have to think about that.

If he didn't have enough this time around to beat out Romney, who couldn't beat out Obama (blows my mind) then he will never have enough.

If the GOP was the GOP of the Reagan/80's, Huntsman would be a shoo-in. The reality is....todays GOP is so ultra-rightwing wacko......you are right....its never going to happen.

Huntsman might well be the least offensive candidate the GOP could put up. But that's like asking to pick which of these rats you'd like to have living in your kitchen.

I like his daughter, though. Abby Huntsman makes a lot more sense on MSNBC's The Cycle than did S.E. Cupp.

He MIGHT have a strong chance of winning a general election, depending on a lot of factors. Among the Republicans I see in the field currently. But I don't think he could get past a primary, like last time. The far right groups are too strong.

The things that make someone strong in the primary are the things that make someone weak in the General. Mittens was an exceptions because he was an empty suit with which Republicans could project whatever they want.

Yes, it's very preliminary, and a lot can happen between now and then, but if you had to venture a guess, what do you think of Jon Huntsman's chances for gaining the Republican nomination for President in 2016? Do you think he made enough of a name for himself to be honestly considered by enough people next time?
    I think I'd flip a coin.
