Does Obama want a government shut down?

Does Obama want a government shut down?

If so, Cruz will flibuster on the floor as long as he can, like R. Paul, and then hope others, like Rubio and Lee, will join hin in filibustering October and on.
Reid is going to attempt to strip it with only a majority vote.

Your thoughts please.

Obama has the power to veto but the bill will not come to his desk as is because it will not pass the Senate. Even if it did, Congress could override the veto with a supermajority. So no president could cause a government shutdown.

I was going to make fun of this post, but christ, it does that well enough on it's own. Good ****ing god, that is some of the most hilarious **** ever. And the funny part is you believe it.

There are 55 posts on this subject thread, but your post alone stands starkly out as the only one that seemingly intentionally shouts out anti-religious cursing. Unnecessary cursing that is inserted in such a manner even that it seems awkward and inappropriate for the original subject matter. The rules request at least a slim adherence to the subject matter of the OP and I for one would appreciate a more restrained posting demonstration of ability to follow the thoughts on the thread as opposed to some sort of non-related personal agenda.

You and your right wing friends have got the facts wrong (wow, what a surprise!). It's Cruz and his tea party wackos that want the government shut down so they can repeal the Affordable Health Care Act. These guys frankly take stupid to an entirely new level.

Ted Cruz: The dumbest “genius” ever! - Salon.com

God, could we possibly be so lucky as to have this intellectual giant as the Republican Presidential nominee in 2016?

Just a bit of advise, don't say someone else is taking stupidity to a new level and then put up a link from Salon...ok? You look like you're projecting...

My thoughts are that I hope that the ignorant losers on the far right in the GOP are stupid enough to shut the government down.

I guarantee you that they won't like the payback that they will get from the voters.

"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.

Me insulting a dishrag publication not worthy of soaking up my dog's piddle is an ad hom now, eh? As to the person, I just gave some friendly advice..what? No good?

Obama would welcome a government shutdown, but not for reasons that have anything to do with budgets or healthcare.

Obama's role is to disrupt the progress of the United States and to create as much social order breakdown as possible. Obama has so much hatred for this county and the historical American culture that anything resulting in dissention, confusion and ultimately great harm is viewed as a positive.

Political maneuvering as we have seen with past differences between presidents and congress is always subordinated to Obama's personal agenda of hatred and destruction, coupled with angering traditionalists and white people in general.

That is why there seems to be so little consistency and reason in his actions both here and worldwide.

It absolutely is an ad hominem. Attacking the source, rather than the substance, is textbook ad hominem. Congratulations, You Fail Logic Forever.

I wonder when the right is going to get sick of flogging Saul Alinsky's 40-years-dead corpse, especially when conservatives use his "Tactics" just as much as anyone else.

I see...You don't mind dishonesty, manipulation and deception as long as it's "your" guy doing it to you.

when the left stop pulling the race card blaming bush and the bush did it also for other words never

The source is without substance, that was the point. Therefore (oh wonderful therefore!) the source was all there was to attack.

Critical thinking always comes a distant second with you types...

Luck won't have anything to do with it. Ted is beating on his war drums right now--telling people he is going to get rid of the IRS; however, what he doesn't tell those Tea Party aficionados is how he is going to do it and how he is going to keep the government going without cash. Meanwhile just him beating on his war drums should get him in the Primary and drag Rand Paul in to the fray. :cuckoo::roll:

Cruz is just the latest in a long line of right wing demagogic blowhards who pander to fear among the paranoid.

By what stretch of right wing logic is blaming Bush 'playing the race card'? I suggest this is another one of those catch phrases you picked up from Sewer Radio or Faux News, and having no clue what it meant, decided to use it anyway. In this case totally inappropriately.

Isn't the Congress i.e. the House the only chamber that has passed something so far? When are those adults in the Senate going to get on the ball and do something adult-like?

Soon. The Senate will, of course, strip the ludicrous Obamacare amendment from the bill and send it back to the idiots running the House of Representatives. Then we can start the process all over again. I see the demagogue Cruz has now admitted he can't win this fight and is a 'surrender monkey' on the issue. Hilarious. Way to win friends among Conservatives in the House, Ted!:lamo

I laughed so hard on reading it the cat jumped up off my lap. I mean there is such a thing as rational disagreement, but when your whole argument is that the other guy is a mouth breather and bad, you just look silly.

But that's always the argument. Oh, and also that he's black. Or Muslim. Or Marxist. Or all three.

Liberals are the only ones I ever see talking about Cruz. I really have no idea what he even looks like or who he represents or why leftists are so obsessed with him. I guess they need a new paper tiger to slay to avoid the realities that their guy is a quacky lame duck

"You types"? Cute.

I suppose you won't mind then, if we decide to dismiss your sources offhandedly, without at least considering what they actually have to say.
