Please point where I said it should be. Just making an observation.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

    Probably something like this;
perp: "empty the register". "wait, what are you doing.........leggo of my arm"
    clerk: "Don't move"
    perp: "oh ****"
clerk: "Ah man, I just cleaned up in here and there you go crapping your pants"
perp: "Imma get out of here if that's okay with you"
clerk: "best idea you've had so far"

380 sounds right for a pocket pistol

I'll ask again when the time comes. It's a small weapon, but he says it packs a great punch. (Again ??) He put it in his cargo pants pocket and it was invisible. I like that. I'd have to worry about showing a holster. A pocket seems more user-friendly to me. Who knows though? I'm going to try as many as I can before I buy.
Good idea. You won't know what feels right until you try it. 380 is a good caliber, just make sure you can find the ammunition before getting the pistol.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

I have a lot of 380s-Beretta (lots of shots-fairly big) SIG (very small well made) SW Bodyguard (reliable) German Walther PP (smooth accurate) American Made Walther PPK (not quite so smooth but reliable) and I have tested most of the stuff on the market. I recommend the Remington Golden sabers as the best combination of stopping power and feeding in finicking autos like some of the sigs.

Pretty good. Been doing a cedar board-and-batten job- it's gonna be too cold for swimming soon but that'll be when the oysters are worth picking, so all's good. How's everything in the war zone?

Right, more silliness. Tactical vests require changes in clothing choices, they aren't exactly "all day wear". The tradeoff to not wearing a vest is pretty much okay to the level of danger "potentially faced", not so much with a firearm. Besides, the best example of how badly this hypothetical of yours fails is the fact that officers on duty don't always "vest up", most officers will wear a vest to serve warrants, or in high crime areas but traffic cops........not so much, reason being the actual probability of danger.

When I was in LE, most of us didn't wear vests unless we were going to be doing something unusually dangerous. They get uncomfortable after a while. In a hurry if it is hot.

Under Armor was actually developed to lessen some of the effects, the cooling effect and lightness of the shirts were developed because personnel wanted to get the pinch of other clothing alleviated.

Yeah, I got a couple vests here at the house, but they're old school heavy hot stuff. The Under Armor was after my time.

I train with the stuff at the gym all the time, could definitely see how it would help with the vest, as much as possible anyway. Seriously though, anyone who would ask why people don't just wear the vest all day in contrast with chambering a round show no knowledge of the vests nature.

I Met the guy who owned second chance body armor He sponsored and started bowling pin pistol shooting-a form of "action shooting" that I was world class at. Richard Davis noted that his vests saved more cops in auto accidents (from having their chests smashed on steering wheels in pre air bag days) than from bullets. I think his company went under when there were credible allegations that he was using substandard materials in government contract products
