I ain't one of the two men, so reckon it doesn't have anything to do with me. If they're happy with it, why should anyone else give a damn?
Be sure to work hard and get lots of overtime. People on welfare want more steaks and free upgrades to smart phones with unlimited data packages.
I don't have a fundamental problem with polygamous relationships in general terms, I just don't think we can afford to legalize them until we work out the specifics on how they will be handled in a court of law. We just don't have the time or space to handle the problems that will occur in such relationships and we do not have any case law to handle them. Develop systems before the fact, then they're fine with me.
Opposed. The problem is in deciding who is responsible for the dependents (children or members who lost competence) and issues of separation (divorce or one spouse must move away) and also who would benefit under probate (you cannot legally leave out minor children if you are a parent to them). And that is just the basics. Also if there are to be multiple marriages I would have to require that it would have to be polygamy and not just Polyandry/Polygyny and since there is now gay marriage legal in some states that would have to be included in the mix. My view is our society is not ready for this option. If it were not for the issue of offspring then I would not care so much if people chose to live in a multiple marriage.

I believe that all the pretty women in the world should have sex with me and only me.
What everyone else does is their business.
It's like you're dreaming of Gorgonzola when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office.
In the end, marriage is basically just a property-rights and shared responsibilities contract. If this is the way they want to do it, it's no harm to me. Same with polygamy. As long as each party to the contract is in voluntary consent, I don't see where the issue lies.
I personally wouldn't have anything to do with it, but if it's something that works for them, no prob.

I don't think it's right for me and would never counsel or encourage anyone to enter into that type of relationship, but I'm not going to say it's wrong for them.
