4.) got no problem with it, after i was told you did it and posted a lie i just came to see for myself and pointed out that it was factual lie. Facts defeat you again. Good luck.

Let me know when you do the poll so i can be further entertained by your fail.
I'm not sure what your problem is, if you want to see a certain poll post it yourself. If you don't know how I will be happy to walk you through it. If you are just to intimidated by the process I will even post it for you just tell me exactly how you want it worded and what you want the answerers to be, I am at your service. No need to thank me it's just the kinda guy I am.

Well, yes. This is an opinion discussion. The significant thing about Ms. Parker is her reputation for fairness.

Don't you think the President should have looked at the case to see race wasn't an issue before he made comments to the fact that race was an issue?

So if race relations are worse than they were six years ago, I think it's primarily because it serves the interests of critics, not because Obama has been promoting any kind of divisive agenda.
I take issue with the word unintentionally.

    To quote Kathleen Parker:

Barack Obama helped lead the way when he identified himself with the parents of Trayvon Martin, shot by George Zimmerman in the neighborhood-watch catastrophe with which all are familiar. Stepping out from his usual duties of drawing meaningless red lines in the Syrian sand, the president splashed red paint across the American landscape:
If I had a son, hed look like Trayvon.
In so saying, he essentially gave permission for all to identify themselves by race with the victim or the accused. How sad, as we approach the 50th anniversary of the march Martin Luther King Jr. led on Washington, that even the president resorts to judging not by the content of ones character but by the color of his skin the antithesis of the great dream King articulated.

Okay, but when you talk about racism not being an issue until someone makes it so,....what if there is a disagreement. You say it is obvious but the racism in the GZ appears "obvious" to some from the beginning and "missing" to others. Are you suggesting we wait until it is blatant?
That is a really bad example.

The NBC affiliate that doctored the 9-11 tape and all of the media making Trayvon look like a young child pretty much set the whole 'racial' facet into motion. Remember it was months afterwards that outside parties started getting involved. (waiting for the public outcry) It was a race bait set-up in my opinion and our President, the Justice department and the Justice Brother (Al and Jessie) stoked the fire.

Even during the trial, nothing was about race, It wasn't a factor and it couldn't be proven Zim was a racist anyhow. Quite the opposite.

Let me be perfectly clear, there ARE cases of obvious racism but, in the context of a serious crime being committed, we already have laws that serve justice. The emotional baggage that race brings into the fray is unnecessary and with the case of Rodney King [for example] can turn an ordinary case of police brutality into a giant collapse of society.

That reminds me ... I've been wondering why DP doesn't have a political humor thread.
Wait ... I'm sorry ... was this thread supposed to be one?

If it wasn't, then I need clarification ... where does using race for self-promotion fit in to the analysis?
Like ... if people of all races eventually grow weary of the act, you can make a case that he has brought them together ... at least on that.
