If you really want to know I suggest that you do a little research and find out. I am not going to do that for you.

You didn't buy into that naive liberal post-racial bs, did you?

Somehow, I was guessing this would be your response. You see, it's all interconnected, and without race or gifts, the dems have nothing to offer...

I didn't think you would. Let's suffice it to say in the next election, it decreased...

Where do you think that the GOP will be 30 years from now?

Where will you be in thirty years? I'm dealing with today's reality not some point after I'm dead...

Hyperbole aside, they weren't entirely wrong, y'know. By the way, I'm intentionally trying to create a mental block of anything said by Palin.

The fact is both programs are popular but the Republican Party made a decision to draw a line at a certain age for a reason....because their average voter is around that age.
Those older Republicans, IMO, are the reason why it got struck down overall. Even though they were Republicans, left-wing platforms crept some doubt into their feeble, impressionable minds. The approval rate of Social Security privatization kept going down as polled age went up - it's actually somewhat of an anomaly when you consider party and such. I think there were just more older Republicans against it than young Democrats for it.

Not after knocking out fee's and commissions. Or is the government suppose to pay Wall Street to maintain your account? Not to mention...let's be honest here...if people don't save now what makes you think they are going to take that money and put it away? I bet you it will go to a house payment/car payment/tuition for kids etc. Some save...and they retire well...others don't and need that SS. I'm doing fantastic saving and having a SS check won't matter but it sure is nice to know that if things go horribly wrong...I get some disease or lose everything I still have that in the background. It's retirement insurance.
See, this is the biggest argument against. It also highlights my disgust for idiocy and my social Darwinism, because I would say that people who didn't have the foresight to save up and retire broke are just SOL.

I think any fiscally wise person would prefer to save up on their own and also be guaranteed some sort of payment/insurance at retirement in case things go wrong or plans go awry which they sometimes do.
It's just a symptom of how too many people want something for nothing. They need a purge, but all my plans are a little...heartless.

    Who knows?

I don't see any reason why I couldn't be in the same chair that I am sitting in right now.
