I like Carson, I just don't think he'd have a prayer. He's extremely intelligent and can deal with pressure. I'd have to study his politics a bit more first though.
"He who does not think himself worth saving from poverty and ignorance by his own efforts, will hardly be thought worth the efforts of anybody else." -- Frederick Douglass, Self-Made Men (1872)
It doesn't matter who the hell gets elected the pro-death crowd will still be dismembering babies in the womb past 16 weeks while teen pregnancy rates continue to climb, there will be lesbian navy seals getting married, the illegals will all get amnesty the deficit spending will continue as the gubbermints' intrusions into your life only increase exponentially. No kiddies the time to reverse these things at the ballot box has long since past.
"God Bless Our Troops in Harms Way."
On the vast majority of those he's said basically empty platitudes that he has outlined ZERO ideas to address (And has zero experience to judge how he'd address it) such as his views on the debt. On other things, like Gun Control, his statements are hardly "true conservative" in nature.
He's a woefully inexperienced social conservative with questionable history or stances in terms of every other facet of conservatism....hardly some shining light of a candidate. Perhaps that'll change in 3 years, though I don't see how he can do anything to fix his horrendous levels of experience...but as of now there's no way I'd feel comfortable casting a vote for him and saying "I trust this man to do good things for the country".
