Is It Just Me Or Does Anyone Else Think Hillary Clinton Would Bring Our Ruin?

Would Hillary Be Our Ruin?

Well, she is an obsessive zionist, dedicated to imperialist racism, but it is capitalism that will destroy you, let's face it.

I keep seeing the talk about her running, and I see her track record of failures after failure, and I really don't know why she's such a big deal. Personally I think her ideas (her previous ones and any new cockamamie hair-brained scheme's she can come up with now) would be our ruin. What say you??

The senate will stay in Dem hands; the House will stay in GOP hands, both for the foreseeable future. Hillary as President would be 4 or 8 years of more gridlock and scandal. It is just too high a price to pay. She would have been better than Obama on her own, but Bill would have been a disaster as first dude. While the anti-federalist in me doesn't despise gridlock for a period, until the democrats have some leadership that is less polarizing, the GOP is never going to be able to rid itself of the Tea Party stranglehold on its leadership as well. Both parties would do well to nominate very middle of the road centrist so they can each have breathing room to clean their collective houses of the nutballs.

She has plenty- but please tell me what accomplishments are 'worthy' of a presidential candidate and who did them prior to gaining the office?

Quit trying to dodge, just answer the question, what has she done that makes her such a great candidate?

Just wanted to know what you think is an accomplishment worthy of a Presidential candidate. You seem to have some sort of bar set, though as i showed with BushII we have had Presidents who rode coat tails all their lives and instead of learning from their mistakes they just double down.

Hillary accomplishments-

Graduated Wellesely with honors
Yale law school and on the board of editors review of law
attorney at Children's defense fund
invited to work on the impeachment of Richard Nixon in '74
teacher at U or Arkansas law dept
top 100 lawyers in the 'national law review' in 1988 and '91
the first first lady to be elected a senator

So what accomplishments qualify a candidate on your scorecard?

By all of the accounts I've seen, she did a good job as Secretary of State. She was also a US senator for 2 terms. What more do you want?

Gubernatorial experience.

With the exception of Kennedy, all of the best presidents of recent past - IMO - have been governors, not Senators.

I'm actually just genuinely curious as to what Hillary has actually done that makes her a good candidate in others eyes. Everyone is so GaGa for Hillary but I don't see why.

You just don't want to admit that you'd have voted for a guy that rode his Daddy's coat tails.

If it makes you feel better I DID vote for W. AND I would do it again, much better than our current Dictator in Chief is or ever will be.

Google is your friend if you truly are curious.

Now what accomplishments are candidate worthy in your book? not just hillary but any candidate either party has thrown up and in many cases out before the general election?

Just answer the question, don't tell me to google it, what do people here at DP find so great about Hillary? Why is this so hard for you?

It does make me feel better. Apparently the fact that someone rode someone's coat tails only matters if you don't agree with them politically. Go read her Wikipedia page if you want to see her accomplishments. I'm not going to bother copying them here.

Also, how can you think Dubya was good? He got us into two wicked expensive wars.

Bush actually had accomplishments in TX.

You have to agree that at least one of those wars was necessary. By the way, Congress approved it, Democrats approved it, I'm sure at the time you approved of it.

Translation: Bush actually had accomplishments that you cared about. It's not a shocker that you're not going to see anything she does as good. Plus, before Perry, Bush had more executions occur during his tenure than any other TX (maybe national, I forget) governor. That's horrible.

Bit snippy ain't ya Skippy?
First I did answer the question and told you if you had Googled instead of sitting there like my daughter did when she was 12 and not look into it for yourself you would have your answer without all the pre-teen drama.

Now try and answer mine- what accomplishments do you think makes a candidate worthy of the nomination? Please feel free to cite actual candidates and their achievements.... :2wave:

Actually, no I didn't approve of it. I didn't approve of either of the wars. Besides, the fact that it's even questionable whether both were necessary is horrible.

I can't google your opinion......

So you thought we shouldn't go after the terrorists? Wow...... I find that hard to believe.

I listed her accomplishments you could have googled them yourself.

Now quit dodging and answer my question.

I think they should have leadership qualities that are demonstratable. Should not have questionable political pasts, should be moral, should have executive experience. Just to name a few.

I didn't say that. We should have done targeted strikes, kind of like the kind that got Bin Laden.
