Frankly, their opinion doesn't matter. We hope that they can do what they've worked to do but it isn't their call. If it was they would be playing their national anthem not ours.

You are 100% correct. Being totally self-indulgent and proclaiming yourself entitled to anything you want is the real American Way.

You aren't going so what are you so worried about?

What are you talking about? I'm talking about the Olympiads. They have worked hard to go to the games. For a lot of them, it's a one-shot deal, for which they've trained almost their entire lives. You want to take that away from them because you're upset that homosexuals can't express themselves for the couple of weeks while they are there? Seriously that's beyond selfish.

I saw what happened to my training partners and teammates in 1980

and I tire of the hysteria that comes from militant gays and their supporters that demands complete support of anything they want. Sorry, but this is not an issue that is worth hurting any athletes over

Russia is not requiring obedience to the Russian Orthodox Church here nor any other religious theme so your comment on being required to pray for Alah is moot. In that case the Olympics would probably not be held in a country that would do such a thing.

Each country has its own rules for good conduct we cannot force our views on other countries nor would we tolerate other countries to do the same thing.

Its typical among some. Destroy others so these people can feel smug and self satisfied that they have DONE SOMETHING even if it doesn't ACCOMPLISH Squat

It sucks for the athletes but they represent a country and what the country stands for comes first. If we decide to take a stand and stay home, home it is. It's not fair to them but that's life.

Not in this case. When the spirit has been broken there is no requirement to show up.
