    Good evening, Jack!

That skeptical physicist was a wise man!

I wonder who will end up playing for the championship?

    Good evening, Polgara.

Being from Indiana, I tend to favor the Big Ten but my alma mater plays in Division 3 so I'm not a hard line fan. I also have a soft spot for Boise State because their success drives the "big boys" crazy.

I think all students should get a college paid salary.

Think if a poor kid with a single mother who is barely paying the electric bill sends her son off to school. The kid gets room, food, and an education. And that's it. No entertainment, nothing. Also, college athletes cannot make any money off of their likeness, autographs, etc. So, should college athletes be paid a salary, be able to work, be able to make money off of their likeness/autographs, or a combo of some of those?

Yes they should be paid, especially considering all the money they make for colleges.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Americans like competitors with grit...I think it's been in our national DNA since the first settlers arrived!

By the way, reciting the conference schedule doesn't exactly help your case.
I just never thought of the tough competitors they played as being "creampuffs."

We have varying definitions of "tough".

I wouldn't pay them a salary for playing, but if they get a little something from the boosters or make some money on their own name and likeness, then that should be OK. I don't have a problem with them working, but that would be very hard for them to do.
