As with Zimmerman, I'm prepared to wait until his trial, hear the evidence if it's not held in private, and watch the outcome before I condemn either the person or a magazine who puts his picture on the cover. I've seen pics of Osama bin Laden on the cover of Time, Newsweek, and any number of others - don't recall hearing this kind of hand-wringing and moaning then.

Rolling Stone is about music not news and putting this punk terrorist kid on the cover like he's Mick Jagger just rubs me the wrong way.

I don't know why the media cannot seem to hold this guy accountable for his actions. They want to blame everything else except the individual.

That's what liberals do. Nobody is ever accountable for themselves.

K-Mart has announced that it won't sell it either.

Rolling Stone is no longer just about music - hasn't been for a long, long time.

Yes - I remember, somewhat, them doing an investigative piece on one of our generals.

They caused the resignation of General McCrystal, the commander in Afghanistan, after he was on record critizing Obama or something like that.

Gee, does K-Mart still have customers?

To the point, social media is the scourge of our time - the gang/mob mentality that pushes spineless businesses to kow-tow to the screaming masses is disgusting. If you don't like something, don't buy it. There's no need to get all gestapo and insist that no-one buy it.

Right do people think Hunter S. Thompson was a music critic?

The only other cover I could find with someone on it who is not an entertainer is Obama. Odd coincidence.

I posted a Rolling Stone cover piece on Charles Manson.

There are dozens of other covers of non-entertainers, like former presidents Carter, Clinton and G. W. Bush. Senators: McCain, Kerry, Kennedy, Sam Earvin and Humphrey. Presidential candidates, McGovern and Romney. Of Pentagon Papers fame, Daniel Ellsberg. Kidnap Victims Patty Hearst and John Paul Getty III.

As Canada John said, Rolling Stone is not exclusively about music. Politics, political figures, scandals, crime and other topical non-musical subjects are covered very often. Even if they don't make the cover.

OK Gina you win but it still rubs me the wrong way.

They should probably stick to the entertainment side of the news IMO.

It doesn't offend me necessarily, but I just don't think they should give these guys the publicity.

who cares what Rolling Stone does, this is a non story

That kid has pop star charisma that just can't be denied. Chicks just dig him. I think its the hair and eyebrows. When is his album coming out? Does he have a music video on Youtube yet? He's gonna be the biggest star since the Night Stalker*.

*By the time of the trial, ("Night Stalker")Ramirez had fans who were writing him letters and paying him visits.[46] Beginning in 1985, freelance magazine editor Doreen Lioy[47] wrote him nearly 75 letters during his incarceration.[48] In 1988 he proposed to her, and on October 3, 1996, they were married in California's San Quentin State Prison.[49] Before Ramirez's death, Lioy stated that she would commit suicide when Ramirez was executed. However, Doreen Lioy and Richard Ramirez eventually separated and at the time of his death, Richard Ramirez was engaged to a twenty-three year old writer who was residing between Los Angeles and New York City.

It's not the first time a magazine posted a cover that was in incredibly poor taste, and it won't be the last. I found it offensive, and am not unhappy to hear that some distributors are refusing to stock it.

Two people have said they don't care. WHY NOT? Step right up and say why you don't care. What do you care about, Kim Kardshians f**** baby?

I don't care.
I'm way too busy trying to be a good husband, good father, good grandfather to give a crap about who is on the cover of Rolling Stone.
I'm way too busy trying to keep the company I built afloat, prospering, and expanding in these tough economic times to give give a crap about who is on the cover of Rolling Stone.
I'm way too busy worrying about the money I have on the stock market to give a crap about who is on the cover of Rolling Stone.

I really just don't have any time to give a crap about who is on the cover of Rolling Stone.
But since you seemed to have the time ,and seemed to give a crap about who is on the cover of Rolling Stone, you can do it for me.
Have fun.

A good father would be against his kids being exposed to this.

A terrorist on the cover? WTF

" The cover of Rolling Stone magazine has most often been the domain of musicians, actors, comedians, and the occasional politician. But this week, the periodical has raised eyebrows by letting Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev grace the famous front.

Why would anyone be surprised or upset over this? Rolling Stone is clearly run by dope smoking liberals. Terrorists are probably their heroes.

"Offend" is a pretty strong word. I wouldn't say I'm offended, but I'm definitely shaking my head.

I was also shaking my head when they put Snooki on the cover, and after they put Obama on the cover for the 729th time [citation needed]. I shake my head when I read anything political in that magazine, Rolling Stone's narrative is that conservatives are stuck in the 50's, while failing to realize that they are stuck in the 60's.

I have a subscription to this rag, and I look forward to reading the story. I'm a father with teen-aged kids and I will encourage them to read the story, understand that he is a monster and the lowest form of life possible, and that evil often comes masked by a pretty face. I will use this as a teachable moment, in which I can help my kids understand that you can't judge a book by it's cover (a lesson that is harder than ever for kids to learn these days, what with the sensationalistic media and all).

The magazine shouldn't be banned, IMHO, the First Amendment is here for all of us.
