Maybe I just liked it to annoy you. Then again maybe I read it the wrong way.

If you want to go out and be the worlds garbage collector,be my guest,Sawyer.
I'm not going to stop you.
If you want to put on longjohns,a cape,a mask, call yourself "The Trash Disposer",and engage in a never-ending crusade to rid the world of Evil Trash, more power to you.
I have other things to do than be your side-kick.
And don't ask me to be your financial backer.
I am in the culinary business, not the superhero business.

I don't allow trash in my home, and me and my wife have taught our children to create as little trash as possible themselves, clean up the trash they do make, and deal with whatever trash other people bring them.
I've done my job as a parent. We all are leading productive lives,we have good careers, and we live in nice houses.

I haven't bought an issue of Rolling Stone in my life. The only magazines I read is Restaurant Magazine and Food Network because it's relevant to my career, and Boating Magazine, because I like to go boating.
My wife reads ESPN magazine, because she likes sports.

I don't own any stock in Wenner Media LLC (Rolling Stone's Owner).
So I don't exactly know what you want from us?

Wenner Media LLC is a privately owned company who can put whoever the hell they chose to put on their own magazine.
You don't have to buy their magazine if you don't want to.

Time Magazine once named Adolf Hitler "Man Of The Year".
Time Magazine is still around ( I see issues of it every time I go pick up my wife from her office).

If a picture on a magazine piss you off,I don't quite see what you want everyone to do about it?
What is it that you want ,Sawyer?
Do you want everyone here not to buy Rolling Stone Magazine?
Good luck getting that to happen.

I don't think a lot of the Conservative here read Rolling Stone to begin with.
The Liberals would probably go out and buy extra copies just to piss you off.
And those of us in the Middle probably have way too many other things to worry about than a magazine cover.
    Nice rant.

Depends on how that information is given, and how it is intended to be taken. Give me an example of how you expect my son to receive your views on the world.

How your son "receives" other people's views depends on what you're teaching your son about other people's views.

That goes without saying. What I'm trying to gauge, is how some of the world intends my son to receive its messages.

I don't know if you can compare the excesses of the music industry to an indiscriminate killer

I think context is key here. Time Magazine is putting people on the cover that have impacted the world, which inevitably includes people like Hitler. RS doesn't really do that and published a picture that tends to convey a positive image of a terrorist bomber

But as far as issues go, just don't buy it

wouldn't you say the context of the image is different? It seems the recent addition is much more positive in how it presents what ever his name is, even just on the visual level

Here's some breaking news for you

There are people with all sorts of intentions, good and bad, out there in the world. It's your job to teach your children how to deal with that. It's not RS's job

In addition, your post is full of ****. You originally argued about children being "exposed" to things, as opposed to having their parents shield them from it:

Now, you're changing your tune, and it's all about determining other people's intent.

This faux outrage orchestrated by the right is simply payback for RS articles skewering some it icons including the NRA, the Koch Brothers, ALEC and others.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers
