The only other cover I could find with someone on it who is not an entertainer is Obama. Odd coincidence.

They caused the resignation of General McCrystal, the commander in Afghanistan, after he was on record critizing Obama or something like that.

When did Obama stop being an entertainer and get a real job?

Gee, does K-Mart still have customers?

To the point, social media is the scourge of our time - the gang/mob mentality that pushes spineless businesses to kow-tow to the screaming masses is disgusting. If you don't like something, don't buy it. There's no need to get all gestapo and insist that no-one buy it.

Right do people think Hunter S. Thompson was a music critic?

He was ostensibly a sports reporter but fair point.

I posted a Rolling Stone cover piece on Charles Manson.

There are dozens of other covers of non-entertainers, like former presidents Carter, Clinton and G. W. Bush. Senators: McCain, Kerry, Kennedy, Sam Earvin and Humphrey. Presidential candidates, McGovern and Romney. Of Pentagon Papers fame, Daniel Ellsberg. Kidnap Victims Patty Hearst and John Paul Getty III.

As Canada John said, Rolling Stone is not exclusively about music. Politics, political figures, scandals, crime and other topical non-musical subjects are covered very often. Even if they don't make the cover.

I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. Fair enough.

I'm not defending Rolling Stone, just chiming in on that sticking point.
