It was acceptable, and I'm glad they did it. As Cardinal said "the image that conservative men just want to control women's bodies is driven home rather effectively. The fact that the senate didn't seem to really consider the impact this would have only further establishes a general cluelessness on their part."

It was a PR win for the pro-choice side.

    Bravo, Texas! Bravo!

I think it's effing ridiculous. They are personal hygiene products that people need, it was completely inappropriate to confiscate them.

If someone decided to start throwing them then remove them from the area and charge them with I don't know assault with a soft object?

I agree. Jeepers, one more notch towards losing freedom.
No men are anywhere, and Im allowed to go in, because Im the owner of the pageant and therefore Im inspecting it, Trump said... Is everyone OK? You know, theyre standing there with no clothes. Is everybody OK? And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.

Perhaps one glorious day in the future Texas will be part of the USA and respect the rights of their people........ even the female ones.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Why not simply say that anything thrown in the state house will be treated as a terrorist threat and you will be held in a GITMO-like facility, for up to 10 years until you are deemed ready for trial or safe enough to be released?

Hmm.... held at GITMO or held in Texas? It's a toss-up.

Not really. No coup, not when jars of feces and urine were also confiscated.

Perhaps the women who collected feces and urine will grow up and have a little self-respect.

Then they can work on respect for others. In the meantime and irrespective of whatever the issue happens to be, you can't throw stuff at your elected reps while they're going about their work.
