Snowden prediction?

If you had to guess right now, what do you think will be Edward Snowden's ultimate resolution?

ETA: I should have added "Extradited back to US"

I believe he will end up back in the US, take 2-3 years to get to a barely covered trial, be convicted and sentenced to 5-8 years active.

Iceland. The parliament has received a request for citizenship from Snowden.

Its a bill only endorsed by 6 members and not likely to pass.

He has a good chance.

“The parliament has finally received a request for citizenship from Mr. Snowden, and many of the parliamentarians believe it is their duty to offer Mr. Snowden shelter for his USA passport has been stripped from him and [he] has been left de-facto stateless by his own government,” reads a post on Jonsdottir’s official blog, which referenced an Amnesty International statement supporting Snowden’s attempts to seek asylum outside the U.S., where he’s been charged with violating the Espionage Act by leaking top secret NSA documents to media.

“The parliamentarians and many Icelanders share the same concerns as Amnesty International that if extradited to the USA Mr. Snowden could be at risk of ill-treatment and possibly a subject of torture,” her statement continues. “No one should be charged for disclosing information of human rights violations. Such disclosures are protected under the rights to information and freedom of expression.”

Somebody will take him in just to give the USA some comeuppance. Who, I'm not sure.

He was thought to be on board Bolivian President Evo Morales' plane, but that turned out not to be true, after the plane was rerouted to Vienna on the way home. Evo would like to give the US a little grief and shine up his anti imperialist credentials. So would several leaders, many of them in Latin America.

Iceland, as that was the original plan....

my guess : he's going to be caught and sent back to the US for trial.

If anything becomes of this UK spying allegation then I think that he will end up back in the United States.

Venezuela has offered him asylum.
CARACAS, July 5 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro offered asylum to former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden on Friday in defiance of Washington, which is demanding his arrest for divulging details of secret U.S. spy programs.

"In the name of America's dignity ... I have decided to offer humanitarian asylum to Edward Snowden," Maduro told a military parade marking Venezuela's independence day.

"He is a young man who has told the truth, in the spirit of rebellion, about the United States spying on the whole world."
