Christianity operates on two levels and neither is 'failing'.

Christianity, like Islam and Judaism, is an untreated mental illness.......................

It blows me away that fully grown adults buy into the one god pile of stinking fetid garbage, whether it's known as the "we be just poor widdo" Chistianity, the aforementioned Eeeeeslaaam, or the spiritually bald Judaism...................

So, you like the Hindu tradition where God is manifest multiply? Or maybe you lean more toward animism, where spirits inhabit everything, including 'inanimate' things?

Christianity hasn't failed in the west. It is an integral part of western culture and defined it, shaped it and helped it grow.

the fact that western society is more than just its religious component doesn't mean that Christianity failed. It means that Christianity has succeeded in its purpose of being a helpful element in the development of mankind.

It is all the other religions in the world, which have oppressed their people and kept them back that have failed. Hinduism, islam, Buddhism, all religions that have taken too much space in the cultural life of a society, impeding it from growing and developing.

I recognize that human "spirituality" is a projection of the human mind. I feel safer around humans who don't project pure unadulterated hatred of anything and everything that has ever lived, is living, or will ever live........................

Myself, I say that an inability to properly punctuate using an ellipsis is a sign of untreated mental illness.
Different strokes, I guess.

Yeah. Like being run over by a bus can be seen as a "growth experience".......................

I don't get what you mean by this. Don't hide your innability to purposefully discuss on the topic behind jerkiness.

No. You just can't grasp how repulsive your normal is..........................

Religion was doomed as soon as lifespans passed 65 years or so. The promise of an afterlife is so much more attractive when you only live to 35 and all you had was misery.

Christianity is not the only world religion that believes in an Afterlife.....

Are any of them promising an afterlife free of monotheists ?....................

Since it is clear that you are not up to par to pick up a real debate on the topic, I shall dismiss any further replies from you and repost the initial comment to squash worthier debaters on their false sense that Christianity is failing.

Christianity is a disease.................

I believe most all religions offer some sort of life after death. Where there is misery there are a lot of religious people. There is something about suffering and having a short life that brings out the "faith".

LOL I like that. A big plus for Christianity in America is that it doesn't interfere with real life. We do as we please and confess our sins later.

Well, git after it, then. Why is this thread about Christianity and not about religion, as a whole?

The answer: because religionists, like all Libbos only go after groups that aren't protected by political correctness. Hence, the stupidity of Liberalism, in general.

It blows me away how rational thinking people can go along with political correctness.

I think you got the wrong end of the stick, read the question again. It isn't applicable to religion as a whole. Most historic Muslim nations are still Muslim nations, albeit with different borders and names. Western society in general is abandoning it's traditional religion (Christianity), while others aren't.

However, I think other religions might be relevant to the answer, specifically with regards to how they deal with apostasy. It's less tempting to turn your back on religion when you can be killed for doing so.

Uh, christianity is a plague in Egypt?
Huh? What?
The God that Christians believe in unleashed a plague on Egypt. Ten plagues actually, because once is just never enough when it comes to biological terrorism and ethnic cleansing.

I understand what you are saying, but I belong to no religion or faith..I am a spiritulist....

That same god ordered multiple massacres and ethnic cleansings and obliterated whole cities.
Do you mean that this is why christianity is a disease?

Well, if the biblical source of the Egyptian plagues is to be believed, then the Christian God is at very least a direct source of disease. What is the source of a disease if not a disease itself?

That's not a Christian orginizatin. It's an organization that is made up of Christians. What about the Muslims? Why aren't you trading about them?

LOL. Their symbol is a cross. Its a christian organization alright. By your logic al qaeda isn't a muslim organization. Just one made up of muslims.
